The Long Black Veil - Chieftains (The) (CD 1995)

I like a little of the weird. I get tired of the same old grind. And if that describes you too, you should definitely give the Chieftains a try. And if you are going to try out the Chieftains for the very first time, then the Long Black Veil is definitely the place to start (in my opinion of course).

Beautiful music, mixed in with names you'll recognize (like Sting for example).

If you've never tried Celtic music, this is a brilliant introduction to the genre. Try it out. I don't think you'll regret it. I listen to this CD pretty often. The Chieftains are definitely on the list of my favorite Celtic type bands! And this is my favorite CD of theirs.

There are many, many Celtic bands out there, and many good songs. If you've tried Enya or Clannad, try the other side of Celtic music. The Chieftains are definitely different from the slow style of Enya and Clannad, at least in my opinion. And once you've tried this stuff, check out a band called Tempest. Real Rock'n'Roll mixed in with Celtic tunes! Very rocking. Very fun.
