I was in a rush like usual, and honestly I didn't take the time to read the whole article or ad about the cd. I was actually looking for vinyl. I learned my lesson on this mistake. Good thing it was early on in my ebay experiences, and I have learned alot since then about the whole ebay world.

One of the most famous and influential albums ever recorded, SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND had a huge impact on the music world, signaling the beginning of a new era of sophistication and maturity in rock. The musical experimentation was dynamic and fresh, several tracks were edited to create seamless transitions, and even the visual design was more elaborate than anything previously attempted.
Producer George Martin and The Beatles searched for new sounds and studio effects. They added crowd sounds and animal cries from sound-effects recordings, sped up Paul McCartney's vocals in "When I'm Sixty-Four" (to make him sound younger), and sustained a single piano chord for 40 seconds to end "A Day In The Life." The orchestrations, scored by Martin, were hailed by critics as bridging the gap between pop and classical music, and many people who had never bought a rock record bought SGT. PEPPER'S.

I am a retired studio musician and had the blessing of meeting Paul and Ringo at Abby Road in 79'..Not Like a long visit but more of a short introduction.By this meeting I saw the music I loved since I was 8 right in front of me in Paul and Ringo's eyes and hand shakes. My thought of this LP before this blessing was already set that it was the break through of music then for now.To think they did this on four tracks to equal 24 tracks if not more in a sort of bloody well suround sound effect in 67' shows their brillance and talent.Cheers to all who sit and listen into the music and not to it or around it..Cheers Doc

I love it...the magic of the Beatles is eternal. It is amazing to watch the evolution of the Beatles from popcorn music to intense, cutting music. Don't forget to add the George harrison cds to your collection....All things must Pass and Dark Horse rock....enough silly lil love songs

Love the disc. Just sold a Capitol reel tape and wondered if the stereo separation would be as dramatic on the cd as the analog reel tape. It was and I'm satisfied. The price for this item was certainly within reason.Love the disc. Just sold a Capitoltape and wondered if the stereo separation would be as dramatic on the cd as the analog reel tape. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles (CD 1987)
This CD has Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds, and Yellow submarine. Not much more really needs to be said if you know your rock. If not though, then you need to get this one and listen to it very closely, quite a few times! Thanks for reading my opinion, and if you'ld like to check out my store, I am permitted by ebay to provide you a link here:

Sgt Pepper set the standard for rock music

There was nothing like Pepper before the Beatles' released it and nothing like it afterwards. When the Beach Boys released Pet Sounds prior to Pepper, it was considered ground breaking. After they heard Sgt Pepper, deep depression set in for the surfer boys. From a technical perspective, Pepper was recorded on only 4 tracks. However, by using a technique called "bounce tracking" the Beatles were able to create an LP that was the equivalent of a 24 track recording which was unheard of back in 1967 (hats off to George Martin). The remarkable part was the mix down and getting every track (bounced or otherwise) to ring out with clarity and not sound muddled. The songs themselves are brilliant and most have stood the test of time. Although the LP is dominated by McCartney tunes, Lennon's Lucy In The Sky and A Day In The Life (with the middle section of the song written by Paul) are stand outs. In one fell swoop, the Beatles with Pepper captured an entire era of psychedelic rock emitting a tidal wave of color, sounds and imagery that has yet to be surpassed. No band today worth its salt can deny Sgt Pepper as one of their major influences. If you have no other Beatle recording, this is the one to have. ** BnB Beatles Depot **

Looking for something to feed the dogs breakfast off of ... or patch a hole in the bottom of the kitty litter box. This CD just might do it for you. They say the Beatles wrote most of their songs while on drugs. Noooo, really? Likely written on toilet paper prior to cleaning themselves too. BORING.
