Pros:
Excellent Album, I play this from start to finish.
Cons:
None
When I look back on my teen years, I often think about what music I really liked and what music I just happened to hear on the radio and just liking the beat or the words. In 1987 I was about 15 years old and one of the albums I purchased that year was 10 from6. Paul Rogers has a great voice and if you tried replacing him with anyone else, it just wouldn't be the same. Paul was in the 70's group "Free" and did a great job on "All Right Now", but getting back to Bad Co, this is one of the finest albums around. I am a Greatest Hits type of person, I like to save my money and purchase the hits album instead of buying one album for a song or two.
The Tracks:
Can't Get Enough
This is the best way to start the album off; I can remember this song blasting on the radio when I used to hang out at the beach. I have always loved the beat of this song (good song to shoot pool with as well).
Feel Like Makin' Love
This is a great ballad, I can remember a lot of guys I went to school with humming this one, A little FYI on this track, Back in 1991 Hard Rockers "Dangerous Toys" did a cover of this song on the "Hellacious Acres" album, pretty good cover, but BC has me spoiled :-)
Run With The Pack
Another great ballad, I used to skip this at first until one day I decided to give it a listen, now I play the album from start to finish.
Shooting Star
This is a beautiful song, If you never listened to the lyrics before, you must do so, it talks about a kid who dreams of growing up and becoming a big star. The song goes on about how he reaches that dream and then ends on a sad note. I hear this song at least once a day on the station I listen to, it never gets old.
Movin' On
This is a good cruising song, I know I had to play this whenever my friends and I were cruising the town and we were known for cranking this so loud that we would get a lot of looks.
Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy
This is an energetic song, I remember hearing it when I was little and my neighbors always cranking the radio when it was on. I also love hearing this song when shooting some pool.
Bad Company
This is another track I love to hear on the radio, I was riding into town with my step-sister when I was little and asked her who this was and she said the same name as the song (she used to tease me a lot and thought she was joking) Man did I feel like a dork LOL
Electric Land
This is a pretty good song, not one of my favorites, but it earns the chance to be listened to :-)
Ready For Love
I used to play this track a lot when I first bought the album; I love the song but don't play it as much though. Good rhythm and was the first song I heard when I went on a blind date, the girl thought I was pretty strange for liking these guys (heh I knew that night was gonna suck, lol).
Live For The Music
This is another song I don't play as much but the beat is good.
Bad Company was a big influence on me growing up as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Boston, I have to give my Step-Brother a huge thumbs up for getting me into Classic Rock back when it was originally on the radio. I'm proud to say that the 70's had me focused in playing "air guitar" instead of Disco Dancing :-)
