Darby O'Gill and the Little People (2004, DVD)

Right around St. Patrick's Day, my husband looked for Darby O'Gill on TV. It's become his own tradition to watch it each year. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. He didn't think that there was any way to find the movie in a video store, and figured that it was obsolete. I thought to myself, Ah, I'll find it for him on eBay! I looked for it, and there it was, in DVD no less! And at an excellent price, only $8.50. I placed an order, and it took several weeks to arrive. I wasn't happy with the length of time it took, but once it arrived, I was very satisfied with the packaging and the quality of the video. My husband was surprised that I was able to find it, and watched it that night (and numerous times since). The quality is perfect, and though the movie itself is not really my type of viewing, I do have a happy husband!

I always loved this movie, and now my kids love it too. It is one of Disney's best. it is alittle scary in some parts so be careful with sensitive one's

My children and I watch this movie every St. Patrick's day. Shawn is great in it. The singing is beautiful as is the landscape. We laugh a lot and enjoy it so much.

I have always enjoyed our family's tradition of eating an Irish supper, and then watching an old Disney favorite, "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" on St.Patty's day.
It's a very cute story about an old mans encounters with leprechauns. I don't want to give away too much about the movie; although I can mention that a very young Sean Connery has one of the roles in the film.
We usually would rely on the Disney channel to watch it on St.Patricks day, but I recently bought the DVD on EBAY, and now enjoy watching it at our leisure.

I remember see this movie when I was just a little girl and the Banshee so frightened me. Overall I still love this movie. Darby reminds me so much of my late Father-in-Law. All the Irish charm and folklore is magnificent.

I love this movie my mom used to rent it for me to watch when I was little, and my brother who is in the navy actually wanted this for his collection. It's a great movie about Leprechauns it even has a banshee so it can be a little scary for little kids if they don't understand what is going on. It would be a great movie to add to anyones collection. It has Sean Connery a young version of him, and he sings a great song in this movie. :o)

An excellent movie, and like all Disney movies it has that special magic that transends the generations. I saw tha movie when It first came out and I just had to have it for my grand children. Sean Connery is great in this movie and its probably a rare ocassion that you'll hear him sing. He wasn't that bad. The special effects are still pretty good even for todays standards. A family movie every household should have.

I bought it because the VHS copy I have is fuzzy. It was a good price. I liked the fact that it was a brand new DVD.

I have never seen this movie before til my husband rented it when we were dating and let me tell ya I really Feel in love with the movie. I would reccommend this to those who have children. If not then i would still recommend it, This is a movie i will never forget...

Darby O'gill can't write anything seeing that I tried to buy from Mr Rushlow, i posted a Moneygram to him and he never send me the DVD, I wrie something as soon as I'll be able to view it. happy Christmas

I bought this DVD movie as an upcoming Christmas present for my daughter who is 25 yrs. old. This was one of her favorite movies when she was a little girl. She now has children of her own and I know she and they will enjoy this gift. This is an excellent movie for young and old. My daughter mentioned it not too long ago so you can see it is a movie to be remembered.

Excellent Disney Classic. This film remains as amusing and entertaining as when I first saw it as a child. I purchased it to watch with my children who (ages 2 and 7) seem equally entertained by it.

Whimsical Classic that all homes should own. Darby will make you feel a bit of what it's like to be a true irishman.

I've watched this as a little girl,and bought it so my children could enjoy,too..Even without all the cinematics/graphics we have today,they love it also..Sean Connerry at that age is a bonus :D
