Pros:
A great mystery that features cats in a new way.
Cons:
If you're not a cat person, you might not like it.
If you love cats, mysteries, or both, you'll love this book! The main characters are Jim Qwilleran (Qwill), a newspaper reporter with a sensitive mustache; Koko, a Siamese cat that seems to know more than the average cat; and in later novels (this is the first in the series) another Siamese called Yum Yum, who isn't as smart a Koko, and slightly cross eyed, but completely adorable. Mrs. Braun is a master at her craft. She weaves a mystery around a plot that always has an unexpected twist in such a way, that you can't help but get pulled into the world she creates. A true artist of words, Lillian Jackson Braun is one of my favorite authors. I have read the complete series, excluding the two newest ones, and am in love with it! I'm sure that if you read this book, not only will you not want to put it down, but you'll run out and get the next in the series as soon as you're finished.
