Pokemon Ruby Version (Game Boy Advance)

A friend has this game and it is fun to play. The game we received did not work properly and does not save.

Wonderful, my son have been enjoyed to play everyday. There is great deal! Nothing problem so far. He enjoying lots and being exciting to have that game Ruby Version GBA. Doesnt complaint at all. Happy all the way for our spirit!!!

Yet another in the seemingly endless series of Pokemon games.

My favorite Pokemon is Charizard so you get to battle with him ( and others ) in this one.

Subsequent games had much better graphics but it is still fun to play this one.

I, by no means whatsoever, like Pokemon.
I do however, LOVE this game. It was a gift for my 4 year old daughter, and like most of her games, I played it myself.

This is the only Pokemon game I have played, so I cannot compare it to others. (I know I'll be getting the others as well).
I have read about (Pokemon) different games, however, and can say that this one has had a facelift from the others. It has updated graphics and weather effects, better sound, and 200 different Pokemon with 100 new species.
Like the others, you can choose to be a boy or girl and choose your name. It has an internal clock, so it records your playtime, and you have a Pokedex to keep track of your stats.
You main goal is to beat all the Gym Trainers and become a Pokemon Master. What my child and I find appealing about this game, is that there are three seperate "starter" Pokemon to choose from. You can complete the game in it's entirity (which has taken me 25 hours of seperate playtime as according to the internal clock per character...but, I "play around" and often rematch characters and play in the arcade there, and etc.), and then you can start again with a different Pokemon with completely different fighting tactics and abilities.

My favorite thing about this game? Press "save" at any time; there are no passwords to remember, and you can shut it off, and return later to where you left off.

In this one, you can now have 2 pokemon fighting on your side at the same time; you can tag team them against an enemy. Also in this one (which I read is different from others), is that the berries you collect, you can go and blend them together in a Berry Blender and make a "super smoothie" to feed your Pokemon. It will keep them amped, and also enhance their best advantages if you choose to "show" them in the regional contests (can get ribbons for "Best of Show" which will unlock additional contests.)

And lastly, it is a multiplayer game, if you want it to be. (Meaning, it is also single player..but, ) You can trade Pokemon with another player (with a link cable, of course), and can even have battles with up to 4 different friends (with link cables.)

I still cannot find the Pokemon cartoons or collector items appealing, but, my child and I do enjoy the games. Young gamers can enjoy it (it is esy enough for them to get the hang of), but, I'm sure even adults would have fun with this game. Pokemon fan or not.

Pokemon Ruby is a well planned game, and has some of the best pokemon. The Pokemon games are unique. You can trade and battle with you friends.

My son wanted it for his birthday and I couldn't find it anywhere else. He has been very pleased with the game.

The reason I bought it was it was a rare item that I couldn't find in stores. I really like playing the pokemon games and so do my younger family members. I didn't care for the shipping price. I paid $5 when I got it it was priced as $1.30. So the shipping price was a little pricy. Other then that I liked every thing about it.

My son absolutely LOVES this game. We were thrilled to see it offered on e-bay. He can save all his progress and continue where he left off without losing any information. He can compare his progress with his friends who also have this game. It's great fun to play and easy to understand the object of the game. A wonderful purchase and addition to our Pokemon game collection!

Well son loved it at first, all of a sudden the game will NOT save any games at all. This is the one he has wanted for a long time, now I have to rebuy the game somewhere else as this one , you must start over each and everytime you play the darn thing. But that is how things go I guess sometimes.

I BOUGHT THIS POKEMON GAME BECAUSE I THINK IT'S ONE OF THE BEST GAMES ON THE MARKET. I LOVE ALL THE POKEMON GAMES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ANYONE WHO LIKES ADVENTURE IN STRAGEGY IN A GAME.

It was so fun i couldn't stop playing.When i finished it i was angry.i couldn't wait to beat the 8 gym.

First, i want to say that if you have a game boy, and you dont have this game, you are really missing out. This game is never-ending. The more you play, the better the game is and the more it is worth. You catch more pokemon all you want and evolve more. That is one thing that makes it good.

Another thing that makes this game good, is the fact that you can trade pokemon with a friend, even if they have saphire, not ruby. You can blend berrys with friends and do 2-on-2 battles. You can even battle your friends.

Another thing that makes this game good, is that you dont have to remember all those stupid passwords to save your game. You just press save, and turn the gameboy off, and you can turn it right back on and be right back where you saved. It's so great!

I also like how you can get rare pokemon at high levels. You can also get "SHINY" pokemon. The shiny pokemon are a different color than the regular pokemon like it. They are really rare. You can also collect berries.

If you dont have this game, you must get it. It will make the game boy experience so much better. See for yourself.

My son had been over bid on this game so many times. That he was looking every day. He is the only one who has it in his class.

I bought this one to complete trilogy I had, Pokemom Sapphire, Pokemon Ruby, and the guide to both games. I absolutly LOVE Sapphire. Ruby is the same as sapphire only different in some aspects, the team that you are fighting and a couple of Pokemon. If you want the entire collection like me, then it's a good buy!

Ruby is the much rarer brother of Pokemon Sapphire. In order to catch all 386 available pokemon for the gameboy advanced you will need to get a hold of this game to catch those pokemon exclusive to this title(Zangoose, SolRock, Groudon, Seedot, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Mawile, Latios). You can play as May or Brendan as you battle through the Hoenn region in your battle with Team Magma. Upon completing your initial quests there is still tons of side quests and battles to take part in that will easily take hundreds of hours to complete everything. I personally I loved planting and harvesting berries through out the area.
I have been playing Pokemon titles since Red and Blue first released on the orginal gameboy system back in 1998. I never get tired of them as each has such a high replay value and each trip through the game is different due to the massive selection of pokemon you can choose to keep in your party.

The game itself just happens to be one of the most popular Pokemon games out of the entire series, but Nintendo ended production prematurely and now the game is VERY difficult to come buy. Ebay has insanely high prices for this game brand new, and this game used is still too expensive. Worst of all, this praticular version of Pokemon just so happens to have the biggest counterfeit production and sale due to popularity. Sometimes it is almost impossible to tell if it is counterfeit or not until it stops working, or if you are skilled with legit game cart circuitry and can spot a single IC based flash circuit (ALL counterfeits us flash and third party SRAM). Never buy this game on ebay if seller only shows stock photo, and only buy game if you can see "2002 Nintendo AGB-E05-01" printed on the PCB just above the game connector pins. Be SURE to ask the seller if they can see it before you buy. Also help contribute to the war on counterfeit games buy contacting ebay of sellers intentionally selling you a counterfeit despite your request asking if they made sure it was legit. Also be sure to report it to Nintendo of America. I am tired of ebay being the biggest means to sell counterfeit games in the world despite their strict guidelines; it's outrageous!

Receive the Pokemon Ruby GBA chip with no problem. However, my son played the game and saved successfully for a few weeks then one day all data was GONE!!! I was going to my local Game Stop in the mall (45 minutes away--1-1/2 hr round trip) and took the chip with me to see if they could help me out. They said, first of all if the chip was for the USA it would have been red, second they said they have heard of this problem many other times. perhaps the chip came from oversea and/or was a pirated copy. So my son is out $30 and was lucky enough to be put on a list at our local Game Stop and a chip came in last week. We purchased it "USED" for $30 but it has a 30-day money back policy if the chip does not work, etc....

My kid has played with this game for hours. Great buy too - it was impossible to find in stores. I found it on line and at a reasonable rate. Shipment arrived in a short time without fail.

My son has not stopped playing this game in his nintendo DS since the package arrived. The shipping took 3 days from bid win. Not bad eh? Very impressed with all e-bay wins and pay pal transaction. Keep up the good work and satisfying customers.

My 9 year old (boy) cousin has been asking for this game since his birthday in April and I thought he would enjoy it for Christmas. He loves it and has been playing with it everyday.
