Awesome film. brings nature into the home and shows that there's so much more out there. With this film one can get in touch with nature knowing that these animals live in the same world as us.

Phenomenal videos, however, they skipped and did not play in all dvd players as well as they should have.

I saw it when it first aired and I knew I needed to add it to my collection.It is a fantastic production, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

I love any educational video, but this one takes the cake I decided to buy it because I had seen a couple episode but also missed a couple so istead of waiting for reruns i decided to buy the series

The dvd collection is amazing and gives an extraordinary perspective of how real and diverse the planet's life systems are. The quality of the filming creates a vivid image for the viewer to experience. The collection is well worth the money and can be viewed many times without losing its awe-inspiring effect.

Everything about this documentary is amazing. The knowledge that is delivered and the stunning images. The music was also composed well. I spent a week watching it every chance I got until I finished it. It was kind of life altering, actually.

Simply amazing. I have never seen anything this spectacular in my whole life. I could watch it over and over again.

One of the most beautiful documentaries I have ever seen. I saw it over a year ago on TV and knew I would eventually own a copy. This is the second copy I have purchased and both were gifts. The next copy will definitely be for MY library!

Since viewing this series on TV I have learned to appreciate this planet even more. This planet, especially America is beautiful and like most of us I started taking it for granted. This series is thought provoking, educational and riveting entertainment for the entire family.

One hundred years from now, when they pull this DVD out of a time capsule and I am long gone, I wonder if the viewers will watch idly because it's something they already know and don't take for granted, or watch in tears and disbelief and wonder.....what happened, where did it all go?

This DVD colleciton, particularly the first and the last one, is stunning. It shows amazing captures of the wildlife with a very nice narration voice and style. Each DVD has about 2,5 hours of really great material.

In the age when we have started to look at Moon and Mars as the next stop for human being, it's interesting to know how much of exploration could still happen at our very own - earth. This is truly inspiring story that had renewed my love for the Earth, our home.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS TOTALLY AWESOME. THIS DVD COLLECTION TO SHOULD BE GIVEN TO EVERY SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY. IT WOULD BE GREAT GIFT TO GIVE TO ANY CHILD OF SCHOOL AGE. MAYBE IF MORE PEOPLE SEEN THIS THEY WOULD TAKE BETTER CARE OF OUR PLANET EARTH. WE ARE SENIOR CITZENS AND WE REALLY ENJOYED THIS SERIES. IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY WE PAID. WE HAD SEEN THE COMING ATTRACTIONS ON TV BUT DIDN'T WANT TO WAIT FOR IT TO COME ON TV. WITH THIS DVD WE COULD ENJOY IT AT OUR LEISURE. The making of this epic (dare I say it) seems like it would fit, the scope of the film is beyond belief. The beauty of the locations is awesome. I know the time taken to make this documetary is a couple of years and I can understan why it took so long.

One would have to watch the whole series to enjoy the total beauty of the ocumentary

A fabulous collection of natural beauty found on our planet. The best single collection of documentaries out there. Colors and clarity are wonderful.

This is an awesome collection! It has beautiful scenery, and interesting information! Only thing that we wish they would have done was to make the background music *more* background. It was very loud at times, so we were constantly messing with the volume button while watching it. I am glad we bought the movies though. :)

My kids wtch it over and over. The pictures are totally amazing. Tons of information. I would recommend this series to everyone. It's hard to describe the beauty of this film.

This DVD will amaze and also startle you. Very graphic and spell binding. The camera work is worth the price alone. Gets the mind to thinking about our earth and why we really need to take care of it.

absolutely stunning. The videos are out of this world. A excellent compilation of nature, earth and species. great work. Oscar deserving. lol. Yet very educational. i never get tired watching is again and again. I bought it when Oprah recommended. She was right. mind blowing.

This series is great. It really preserves our planet as it is today. Great narration, stunning images of wildlife that may soon be extinct.

This is an excellent film.this is a great series for young and old wish more shows was like it. it is a great informative show on the earth and its living creatures.The narrator makes you feel like he is talking to you directly.We need more films like this to appreciate the great wonders that are still on this great planet of ours.The commentary is very informative without being long or drawn out, and the footage that is shown during the series is very riviting and seems to leave viewers wanting more. I personally would give this series a 10 out of 10 and do hope to see some new episodes in the months to come.

I just loved this series and have bought more copies to give as gifts and have shared mine with others who have all just loved it.

I have bought the The Blue Planet and it is every bit as good, I strongly recommend this to everyone.

Best DVD series I have ever watched and I learned so much about our amazing planet.

Those that filmed and put this together deserve awards and more awards for their awesome work and attention to detail.
