Pros:
Great music. Easy listening and energetic.
Cons:
None!
I have had this cd sitting around, wrapped in its original packaging, for about two years now! This morning, I finally opened it, and I'm so sorry I waited. What a terrific album! Patty Loveless is a talented singer who covers the typical country sound gamut, and I guess that's why it appeals to me so much. :)
I like "The Party Ain't Over Yet" because in it, she says the devil can do his worst, but she won't give up on life. It's a fast-paced start to this collection. I'm not too crazy about "Like Water Into Wine", but the music is pretty in that song. "That's Exactly What I Mean" has a fun, lilting beat, and Patty's voice goes through a wide range of vocal ability there. "You Don't Seem to Miss Me" is a typical country heartache ballad. It's excellent. :) "Too Many Memories" is another sad one. "Long Stretch of Lonesome", the title track, looks in hope to the future.
This album has encouraged me to go purchase more of Patty's music.
