Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP (Black) LCD Monitor

this is a great monitor for the money, id recommend it in a heart beat. there is virtually no ghosting and there is absolutely no backlight bleeding.

Looked promising but didn't ship at all and didn't refund anything. Paypal cover $200 but now I lost $350. I will never buy something of this expense on ebay again. Stay away

I decided to buy this because we needed a monitor to use to view HD content (I work in a production house). The seller never sent the product and PayPal never got the full amount back for me...

Lives up to all the great ratings. Came fast, perfect as described, Love my monitor! Came as described, no problems once it was paid for, came immediately followed by a tracking number.

Simply put this is the best 24" monitor out there. The picture is amazing, the response rate is super fast for even the most demanding games, the extras (card readers, usb ports, etc) are a very nice bonus and the fully adjustable ergonomics of the monitor really set it apart from all others in its class.

2nd Dell Monitor. Performs as described. Only drawback that I see, you cant do two websites on screen. PBP has to be two different video sources dvd player/computer or tv/computer. I was hoping for computer/computer. other than that it plays movies or general browsing great.

I calibrated this right away with my Monaco color calibrator (~300 bucks). I recommend you do the same, or colors are a bit off for out-of-the-box (too green, too bright, and too red). My only gripe is the occasional flicker, but in case you didn't know, the Dells use the same screen as the more-expensive Macs. The mac/apple version probably boasts this same flicker. What I needed here was the 24-inch size, minus the extreme neck-craning definition one sees on a 30-inch display (I own the 30-inch Cinemadisplay by Apple as well). My next upgrade just may be the 27", as I am trying to fine the fine line between size and pixel-viewability. I highly recommend widescreen, as this is the format for the future.
Other cons: no speakers, but at this price who cares? :) Good buy!

This is a great monitor. The resolution is fantastic at 1920x1200, a substantial jump over the 1680x1050 on 22" widescreens. Also these displays are true 24-bit color and wide viewing angle, with S-PVA (or equivalent) panels - this is vastly superior technology to the cheaper TN panels and you will absolutely notice the difference in brightness, color clarity and viewing angle - looks much more like a CRT (tube) than a TN, except of course unlike a CRT with LCDs all your pixels are absolutely flat and square and one computer pixel directly maps to one display pixel. Compared side-by-side with a TN display (which all the cheaper ones are) it's night and day. TN are only 18-bit color and have a washed out look due to limited viewing angles and how they pass light.

Dell's build quality is excellent as always. The stand is top-notch and allows consider adjustment, and rotation from landscape to portait orientation (great for editing text documents). I would recommend getting the A04 or later revision of this display since it will work at 1080p making it a little more flexible as an video monitor for HDTV. There's also a newer version which improves the color rendition even more.

Mine had zero dead pixels and still has none after a couple months. This display has more inputs than most and would work great for console gaming or a bedroom TV. Card reader and USB hub are quite useful. If you care about picture quality you should only consider true 24-bit S-IPS, S-MVA and S-PVA panels and this is a great one.

This revision A04 is by far superior over the A03. This monitor looks absolutely amazing over vga with Xbox360. The new modified A04 firmware does 1080p no problem.

This monitor has excellent color, crisp screen.. It even does good with black coloring. The A04 revision is definitely a winner in my book.

The Dell 2407WFP has excellent image quality, a full array of video ports along with perfect picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture options; USB hub; HDCP.

Dell really set the bar high with this 24-inch wide-screen LCD. It delivers excellent image quality and a ton of connectivity options, including video inputs and picture-in-picture settings. Add in a great price, and the Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP is the best value in its class.

I give it an A+ 10 out of 10

bought this to replace my 19" lcd and the extra 5" is really good for gaming and multi program running. Ebay is a great place to find good products at good prices

I was an instant fan of the 2407s from Dell. Excellent articulation means you can put it at any angle or height easily, not to mention the real estate.

great monitor very sharp and clear picture,I alway want the larger screen.

Because I need it for the work at home, I like the graphic and the size of monitor, I dislike the option that the speakers are not build with the monitor.

I have found NOTHING wrong with this 2407. I was able to get the newest (at the time) rev A04 on ebay, at a better price than from Dell, NOT refurb or used. I did have to scale back the resolution to 1280 x 768 , everything was too small. One of my main reasons for the big screen was for my eyes. instead of leaning forward and squinting, plus panning right to get everything on screen, I now can sit back and read it all.
Perfectly sharp. a bit bright. I turned the brightness level down but the whites are really bright. probably because there is SO MUCH MORE OF IT. hahaha
I have a Geniatech HDTV card connected to cable. AMAZING HDTV viewing. Its better than my 36 inch Tube tv. Takes up LESS space than my 17inch mitsubishi CRT.
Since LCD screens tend to scratch easily, I bought a cheap poster frame from walmart. cut the plastic to the size of the outside of the monitor and taped it on with clear packing tape. No change in pc quality. Screen is protected and I can dust without worrying about scratches. or popping the top on a soda can and getting it on the screen hahahaha

This monitor does everything well. Text is always easy to read, dvds look great, and games look awesome at 1920x1200. The only con I have found is that it takes a lot of graphics muscle to game at the native resolution, but if it is necessary to run at a lower resolution this monitor scales very well for an LCD. It also includes aspect ratio scaling for games that do not support widescreen.

Dell hit the ball out of the park yet again with the UltraSharp 2407WFP. Have bought three of these, and they are by far the best LCD I've used in a long time. Whether you game, want to watch DVD's, or just use the ridiculous amount of space for desktop applications, this monitor will satisfy even the most strict of consumers.

When i first turned on this monitor, i was pretty impressed by the screen size ,brightness and it's style. after compared with all different brands, i chose this monitor because of it's specs, funtions and futures, the most important is its got the best price.

Love it! A bit pricey but for the flexability and extras you get with it, it is worth it.
Some text on PDF documents and web pages seems a bit fuzzy, haven't got any complaints about the performance on gaming.

After owning one of these for over a year with absolutely no problems i'm not afraid to put myself and my word behind it, this is simply an amazing piece of equipment and let me tell you, coming from a smaller 19" monitor I didn't know what I was missing. The display on a computer makes all the difference. If your thinking about purchasing a large monitor and on the fence about what to chose the dell Is a good option for someone new to large monitors and it's ease of use means that anyone can use it. Easy as dell.
