The book itself I loved. I love the series and I have already ordered the 3rd. However, once I finished page 408 of New Moon, the book skipped back to page 377! Therefore the book has TWO of every page from 377 to 408, and then skips to page 450-something from there! All the information from page 409 through 450-something is missing. I had to borrow my friend's book to read the part that mine was missing. So really, my frustration is not with the book itself but with the production of it. Other than that, I think Stephenie Meyer is brilliant and I can't wait to read the next book.
This book was hard to get into for me, but it does set you up for the awesome 3rd book. She is very thorough in her writing, and at times gets a bit wordy, but that's what paints such a vivid picture in your mind. I like the book over all, and like the first I couldn't put it down because I wanted to find out what happens.
My thirteen year old daughter first read Twilight, referred to it by her Middle School. She loved it so much, we ordered Eclipse on Ebay, so that she wouldn't have to wait on the Middle School waiting list. Now, we got New Moon for the same reason. She doesn't want to have to wait to move onto the next one. I also just had to order Twilight for my ten year old. They are addicted to reading these books!
This is a great sequal to Twilight. The book leads the read through the life of a great character! The characters make the story come to live on the pages of this fanstic book. I can not wait to read the next in the series.
All I know is that my 19 year old daughter, who reads a thousand page book in a few hours and has been a heavy reader since kindergarden, has told me that of all the books she has read, this series is her all time favorite. She re-reads them constantly. I highly recommend the entire series!!!
I have nothing but praise for every book in this series. I became hooked on them because my 13 year old enjoyed them so much. Cannot wait for more! Hihly recommend.
I read the first one in the series, so, of course, need to read the second one. I'm not finished, but I am really enjoying it. Just light entertaining reading.
i love this book its awesome!!! it is a great sequel to twilight. i cant wait to get eclipse soon. its a new twist to the on going romance between the vampire edward and the human bella. will their love last or will it end? you have to read this great book to find out!!!!!
This book is great for all ages! I have noticed many people saying that these books are for teenagers. My 14 yr old neice got me to read these books and I found I couldn't put them down. Since then I have loaned them to my friends and they say the same thing "I need the next book" The five of us that have now read them are ages 40 - 55 and we can't wait for "Breaking Dawn" to come out in Aug. The movie hopefully in Dec. 2008 and then the story all over again as seen from Edward's perspective "Midnight Sun".
The first of the so far three book series got me hooked, but the second book almost got me unhooked. I loved the first book surprisingly as it was full of teenage angst, and star crossed lovers with a great supernatural twist. However, I agree with other reviews in saying that, after Edward leaves a hundred or so pages in, the book becomes nothing but a "sob fest". I, like many other readers forced myself to finish the novel only in hopes that Meyer would redeem herself in her next book, which, if you read my other reviews, you will learn that she does.
NOT AS GOOD AS FIRST ONE ..............................................................................................................................................
I've read all of the books and am completely hooked. I'm 14 and i think there amazing. I've just read all 3 over 2 days during this easter holiday and i cannot belive i have to wait till the end of summer for the 4th.
This book along with it’s first was one of the best books I have ever read. I plan on getting the third. It kept my attention as I felt myself in the role of Bella, for it was extremely well written, I just couldn’t put the book down and when I did; I felt like I was going to miss the next part. The main thing I liked about it was how Bella never forgot about Edward, even though he promised that she would. She would put herself in danger just to hear his voice again. What I didn’t like is how she was going to “settle” for Jacob when she was still in love with Edward. I was extremely happy when she had to go save Edward it would mean she would get to be with him again. I was also happy to find out she herself would be welcomed into the Cullen family as one of “them”. My advice to anyone would be to read these books they capture the imagination and you feel like you are actually there. You won’t want to put it down. It is a romantic story of true undying love, a love that can never be destroyed, and a fairy tale unlike any other. It is a new version of the classic Romeo and Juliet.
The product came as described, brand new. No scratches. Morever, its relatiely lower price as compare to the local bookstore is what caught my interest of buying the book from here. And, as the result, it was satisfactory! The book arrived in the condition just as I expected!!
Book two of the Stephenie Meyer Twilight series is another hit! Great reading for teens and young adults- we were thrilled to get this addition as the middle book of the trilogy! Super easy transaction! We are awaiting the 4th book at the end of the summer and will now have all 4! Stephenie Meyer is the hottest author on the market right now!
I recently noticed that these books are aimed at teens. I have no idea why. They are excellent. I can't stop reading. I'm so sad that there are only four books in the series. I am an avid reader and I haven't run across such a good writer in years! I just can't express in words how much I love these books. I'm on the third and it's as good as the first. Stephanie Meyer is my new hero.
I decided to buy this book after I had rented it from the library, read it and I loved it. It is a very well written book. It captures the intrest from the beginning and keeps it until the end. It also is a very clean book, it contains no swearing or crude language. Making it appropriate not only for adults but for teens as well.
This writer takes a fresh approach to an ancient subject. The Vampire... Instead of dark and forboding, becomes sparkling bright and painfully beautiful. Answers the question, given hundreds of years, can one overcome human weakness and eliminate the baser instincts. Guess not. The characters are well drawn. The dialogs as realistic as possible, considering the subject matter. Altogether a good read!
Anyone who has read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer will love this thrilling sequel. A perfect balance of a story about love and heartbreak with the supernatural and mysterious.
I ordered this book for my granddaughter for Christmas. It arrived in plenty of time so I was happy with that. I gave it to her for Christmas and she started to read it. It was fine for the first 50 or so pages then it skipped about 10 chapters and picked up from there. She had a hard time finding all the pages they were so jumbled. It left out one whole chapter. I have never seen a book so messed up. I will not buy another book from this place
