With the CD boom of the late-'80s, it seemed like just about every music lover was running out and replacing their well-worn and scratchy vinyl records with the little shiny discs. With this in mind ZZ Top issued a three-disc boxset in 1987, titled THE ZZ TOP SIX PACK. The set included the following six albums (two on each disc)--ZZ TOP'S FIRST ALBUM, RIO GRANDE MUD, TRES HOMBRES, FANDANGO!, TEJAS, and EL LOCO. Included in the box are such classic rock gems as "La Grange," "Tush," and "Pearl Necklace," as well as lesser-known (but just as strong) rockers as "Brown Sugar," "Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers," "Francine," and "Heard It on the X." To acquire some of the finest blues rock ever recorded in a single purchase, THE ZZ TOP SIX PACK is a must-have.
