Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (PlayStation 2, 2003)

Accutualy this game i have not played it that much but my friends they liked it and they were missing this game too much because previously we couldn't buy the original so we where buying the copy but now since we remembered it so we said to buy it now or other wise we wont find it again!!

The disc was scratched...a lot. As if the person lost the case. What's worse, this game is actually quite rare; perhaps that's why the owner settled for such a reasonable price. The shipping was quite fast and the disc still works, so it's not a huge deal.

ok i saw the anime series and liked it a few weeks later i found the first zone of the enders game i played and beat it in like half a day it was great but wasn't very long then i looked online and found out there was zone of the enders the 2nd runner and i wanted to get it i looked around and couldn't find it anywhere but ebay i bought it and i haven been able to put it down its amazing the story line is really in depth and draws u in the controls are amazing unlike alot of mech games all and all i have no clue why it want more popular its a great game that seems to have been over looked possibly because the first zoe game was so short no one thought the 2nd would be any longer

This sequel to Zone of the Enders is a sequel worth owning. The combat mechanics have been upgraded and better streamlined, new elements are added and more and improved subweapons make the main game and subsequent replay games fun. The story is top-notch, the voice acting for the cut scenes is superb, a rarity among many game titles, and last but not least plenty of extra features including a replay game feature that will keep the playability alive forever. If you loved Zone of the Enders, you will LOVE this game.

I play the first Zone of Enders I was some what Satisfied with the game play
like a mix between Gumdam and Star Wars it is an ok story line. When I beat the game I was happy then something else happened. Thats why I bought the 2nd Runner and every thing that mad me mad in the first one was GREATLY improved in the 2nd one much more developed story line i could barely contain my self when i was playing it. only draw back it is a short game. but their is a 2p mode
which is no joke.

i like this game so much I hope they don't make a 3rd installment because they might make it less than the 2nd and from what i have seen that would be easy as taking candy from a baby.

We have the first one and decided to give the sequel a try and boy!!!, are we glad. this is one of the rare times the sequel exceeds it's original. Great graphics and storyline rocks.

Instant classic........must have in your library! I played this all weekend long and could not get enough of it! Captivating storyline, great visuals, old characters re-united! I LOVE THIS GAME!

I do believe its high time that a quality review is written about this, highly unrated but successful and Now "super rare" game. When i first heard about this game i was in my local game crazy, already played the 1 ZOE I seen it laying on the shelf not knowing what i was looking at because like most underground and secret titles it never got the much deserved hype or commercial attention that it needed to make it a well known game.

At that time i asked the salesman what he thought of Zoe 2, the second runner and he replied it was a well rounded smash hit/sleeper title, by sleeper title I mean no one expected it to be as good as it is and only a few knew about it. I purchased myself a copy and played for relentless hours, unlocking everything and anything, Than i played again and again, till i was about to beat the title in less than one day, a 24 hour period, to get specific it was a little over 6 and a half hours, if you listen and pay attention to the story it will take about 8-9 hours give or take, maybe less.. But this shows you how much dang fun this game is, the replay value of this game is very very good, you or a friend can have hours of fun playing this in depth and very rare game, that is if your lucky enough to find a "NEW" black label copy of the game for under 100 US Dollars! Konami never made the title a greatest hits, so every copy is black label, but it is extremly hard to find a new un opened copy and new copies are becoming extinct every day.. Buying used is another option but normally you will most like, always get a scratched copy without box art and the manual, if you do get lucky and find a good copy.. cherish it... mount it, frame it and love it, play it everyday, as it is "THE MECH ACTION TITLE OF THE GODZ"

GAMEPLAY: 10.0 - This game delivers, it has fast, intense un relenting speed and action that makes all other games in it's genre fail in comparison, you will play this game till your thumb bleeds.

GRAPHICS: 10.00 - This game has some of the brightest and most stunning visuals ever to be seen on the ps2 console, as your destroying over a 100 enemies on screen all at once you can't help but feel powerful as your mech obliterates every enemy right before your eyes in a red, yellow and blue force of envy and power!

STORY: 9.5 - This game has a very in depth story line that has some of the best actors voicing over the characters, and with producer Hideo Kojima behind the wheel would you expect anything less? After all he made and founded the metal gear franchise. You, the player can't help but be pulled into dingos (main character) world as you fight along side of hot chicks alike and evil villains.

Over all this game has it all, the only gripe I have is always wanting more, like anyone else that played this superb piece of art they, we want more, it was a bit to short, but what it lacks in time it surely makes up in gameplay!!! The unlocks are very rewarding so your surely going to have your handful playing it a few times or.. lots more. Cheers!

I bought this game because I own the original Z.O.E. and wanted to continue the story. I found that the was way better developed then the first, more maneuver techs, I even like the fact that it has unlockables. After beating it your can go and play extra maps (about 100)

Great game! I was addicted as soon as i played the demo. You cant expect anything less from Kojima, the guy who also made the metal gear solid series.

i remember playing the demo back in 03 or even 02 since the game was release in 03.Though i didnt get to play it in 09 the wait was well worth it.I was surprise by the speed of battle theres multiple enemies and if youre not careful of where you are and going youll find yourself surrounded and unable to tell who is hitting you or from what direction they are hitting.

A mech game centered around well developed aerial combat controls and weapons. The boss battles are pretty creative. Even the tutorial is well-thought out and flows well. Too bad the game is only several hours long.

Zone Of The Enders (The 2nd Runner) Producer Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear series)has done it agin this game is one of the best mech games ever made. It's fast, epic, and quick thinking game play is spectacular. It very eye catching and to me just as good in plot, story and character depth as Metal Gear series To bad though that this is not as popular. American audience can see war games more conceivable that the more powerful fast pace anime style games. But hey if ur a real gamer that loves not only the action but the fact that you have to think not just destroy everything get a copy it hot...Oh don't forget to get the 1st Z.O.E too!

This game is awesome if you like fast paced mech fighting games. It has a good story, fun gameplay, but is not that long of a game.

This game is a must play for all fans of ZOE products! To all others, it may not be worth the effort to find as it is very rare. Anyway, here's the rundown:

Graphics: Very nice for a PS2 game, with cel-shaded models popping off the screen and great anime style cut sequences. THere is a little bit of slowdown, but it doesn't take anything away from the experience!

Sound: The music is pretty cool, but nothing you haven't heard before for a mech game. J-Pop and techno reign supreme here, and it helps build the atmosphere of the game.

Gameplay: The fights are where this game really shines, with several foes ganging up on you, to create a true feeling of intensity. Fans of the original game beware, however, as the game is a lot harder than the first!

Controls: Very easy to learn for how much there is to do! Also, when selecting the secondary weapon, it pauses the game! A great idea so that you never have to sacrifice any advantages while changing weapons in-game!

Story: Nothing mind boggling, but the story is entertaining for those who have played the first game, with continued ties between Ada and the pilot of the Vic Viper. There are well-developed characters, though.

Longevity: With bonus missions, this game can last a hardcore gamer quite a while! Personally, I got so caught up with the single player that it didn't last me very long, so the extra missions and the multiplayer made up for the short campaign mode.

This game would've received a perfect score, but, like the first one, the single player experience is just too short. I can't wait for the third installment (if there is going to be one)!

the game was in decent condition but i'd rather have it with it's orginal box and manual. but the game plays well. haven't run into any problems so far but i doubt i'll ever will. overall, a good buy.

i had played the first one and loved it and couldnt wait to get my hands on the second took me a while seeing how this item turned out to be quite rare but i finaly got my copy and i am still playing it. If you had played the first it lives up to it and then surpases it triple fold just an amazing game with new machanics with the same feel

I've been waiting to get this game again for a long time and it's good to know that if there's anything I can't find in a local store I know that ebay is the place to be to find and get what I need.
