Know what you are buying!!!

There are many DVD - VHS recorders on the market. Most people are like me and look for the best deal. Before buying a unit, make sure you understand all of the features. When I bought the first combo unit, I paid over $300 but it did live up to my expectations. I know that you can not copy original movies from DVD to VHS or VHS to DVD. On this unit, I tried to copy a VHS tape that I recorded on my VHS recorder over 8 years ago and the unit stated that it was protected???? Also you should understand what it means not to have a Cable in and Cable out! My first unit was easy to install. I remove the cable from the TV and plug it into Cable in on the unit and use a second cable to go from the unit to the TV. This unit does not have Cable connectors so if your TV does not have RCA in and out connectors, you can not hook this unit up. I know that most new TV's have these connectors but you should check yours before you buy! Not having the connectors that I expected is MY FAULT, not the seller. I saw a good price and jumped on it. Understand what you are buying before you buy. Ask questions and have someone explain the answers if you do not understand them. The public has been using some type of Video recorders for over 30 years. I still have a Beta Max, that works! I left positive feedback for my purchase. It was not his fault that I did not ask about the Cable in and out jacks. It was my fault for assuming that it did! The unit did copy VHS recordings of sitcom's to DVD so the unit works.
