Best color in the G series
You have to use the included graduated neutral density filter, or else you are not doing the lens justice.
This is not supposed to be a sharp lens in absolute terms, although relative to a retrofocus ultra-wide on a SLR the Hologon of course is a lot sharper. In terms of absolute resolution, just about every other G series lens is better. However, the Hologon has outstanding contrast - there is not the slightest hint of softness at all. The images look clean.
This is the only lens in the G series made in Germany. Coincidentally, it also has the best color in the G series, very rich and very appealing. (You won't get that without the graduated ND, though.)
