Tough to install and needed to buy adapter to hook up to modern computer but works great. Shipping was timely and buyer represented his product and himself with professionalism. Great EBAYER.

Replaced a reliable printer with the same model

Two printers were purchases from this seller. Our retail store uses this style of printer and after 7 years of daily use, it was showing signs of wearing out. A new printer was purchased and then returned. The new was very expensive and it was larger so it would not fit in the allotted space. An eBay search found the same older printer for less than 10 percent of what the new model had cost. One was purchased and then a second for backup. The new model purchased that was returned took over two weeks to arrive. The eBay purchased printers took a week each. So from eBay we saved money, received better service and received the same model we were replacing. The two printers may be gently used or brand new. They both look new.

Thermal printer

For the price, it is a good product for what its intended use: printing UPS labels. Third party software and drivers are available, but it was primarily designed for use in printing UPS labels. With their support and proprietary software, this item worked great, provided the correct browser is used with it that UPS supports. These originally retailed for over $200, and with the correct power adapter, it still works just as well as newer models. While this unit has since been sold, it is every bit as good as my current unit - the prior version LP2442. In fact, it is difficult to see any difference.

This printer is the next best thing to what I needed to replace. It works great. I would buy it again, if I needed another one. Actullay, I will be buying another one just to have a back up.

Label Printer Not What ExpectedReview created: 07/04/09

I love the Label Printer that I purchased off of Ebay, it's lke brand new and works great for Unird States Postal Service label printing only. I like many others assumed that it would print United Parcel Servces labels and USPS labels. It does not and there was no mention of that in the item listing. UPS uses another type of Eltron Zebra Label printer now and you can get it off of UPS at a cost. But the item was exactly as described, and arrived within about a week and a half after I selected "Buy It Now" option, it came with a power cord and a printer parallel cable, as well as an install CD for the computer.
Also, it was never mentioned that I could have obtained the labels from UPS for free, that would have been of great help. Even though it won't print those labels for UPS. USPS uses the same labels...So, now I have two different types of label printers for my Ebay business, one for printing USPS labels and one for printing UPS labels, (not what I wanted at all).. But this just shows you that when starting a new ebay business, it really pays to ask a lot of questions.

Zebra Eltron 2443 LP2443 Thermal Barcode Label PrinterReview created: 04/28/09
This is the first time that I have ever purchased a Thermal Label Printer online, after not ever owning a regular printer.
Therefore, the first time I got this same thermal label printer, it took me a few days to figure out how to make this label printer print address labels correctly, and to also, find the correct drivers, which I was able to find only 2 available online, since this label printer model is an older model from the newer models of thermal label printers that are available online.
However, after a few days, trying everything I can, including re-installing my Windows operating system several times, because I thought that maybe, it was some settings that I did not correctly set up in Windows, and/or maybe I accidently setted up wrong settings, and could not find them after words.
I then got this label printer to "work without any problems", except the only problems I encountered were:
1. I could not print USPS / UPS shipping labels with postage online, either through www.USPS.com, or through www.UPS.com, since after I searched everywhere on the Internet, including on eBay.com, where I could find the correct software also, that will work with my thermal label printer drivers.
2. So far, I only use my Zebra Eltron 2443 LP2443 Thermal Barcode Label Printer, for printing address labels, and the postage, I use the USPS APC (Automated Postage Center), to print postage, by weight + destination + any other additional costs + services associated with mailing a single letter / package.
3. Sometimes / many times, when you print an address label, it prints the first address label, and then even though the address label is 1 label long, the label printer does not automatically stop, until after the second label has passed (without printing nothing on the second label), which usually happens if you specify that you want to print "1-1" pages. But many times, if you just click the Print icon in the word processor program, then it would just print 1 label, then stop after it has done printing the label.
But after all, this is a great label printer, that will not cost you anything on ink refills, because it does not use any ink cartridges at all, but a patented thermal ink burning technology, which works great, and saves you a lot of money every time on ink costs, etc.
