Movie Description
Based upon a manga and rendered in a starkly realist style of animation, the provocative anime series YUGO THE NEGOTIATOR breaks new ground in the genre with a topical realism ripped straight from the headlines. In a world racked by terrorism and politically based kidnappings, an unusual operative named Yugo Beppu is hired by various foreign governments to utilize his quick logic, foreign language skills, and psychological manipulation techniques when all other forms of hostage negotiation have failed. While the first half of the series involved a hostage situation in the deserts of Pakistan, this volume launches an entirely new storyline that finds Yugo embroiled in an international conspiracy in the frigid landscapes of post-Soviet Russia.
