EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND WRITER PRODUCER BEHIND SCENES

I really like this book. Rosenthal describes what it is to be a writer and producer of the Everybody Loves Raymond sitcom which enjoyed high ratings for 9 straight seasons. He goes into his family background, the ups and downs of becoming a writer, his relationships with the actors on the program (incl. his wife who was in it), his relationships with the head honcho's above him who we can say were sometimes nasty, and where he and raymond and the other writers got their ideas from. He does this all with a sense of humor and sometimes wonders how lucky he was, rather IS in doing something he loves AND getting paid for it! A dream I believe we all have.
If you are an up and coming TV sitcom writer (or even producer), I highly recommend this book as it does give you ideas how to write (it did to me anyway!) and produce a program. And, even if u have nothing to do with show business I still think it's a great book which describes one persons rise on the ladder of success in the tough world of hollywood.
