This book is amazing and every Youth Pastor should read it. If you are just starting for the first time, or even if you've been a youth pastor a long time and are moving to a new church I highly recommend you read this book!

What a great read for anyone working in youth ministry. It is revelent whether it's your first year with youth or a veteran! Doug Fields writing style is like sitting with a friend over a cup a coffee having a conversation. This book gives great advice on how to handle the ups and downs of youth ministry!

MUST READ for new SERIOUS Youth Workers
) i am entering my 2nd year as the Director of Youth Ministry at a small Church and have read quite a bit of material on Youth Ministry and attended several educational seminars. This book is by far the best thing i have come across. It spoke directly to me many times including the letter from a Youth Pastor resigning his position because of repeated problems - very real world - i have wanted to resign more than once, BUT now realize i have the best job in the world with the best boss (GOD, and that discouragement is natural and recurring.
