BLUE OYSTER CULT AT THERE BEST
Review created: 08/10/09

GREAT PRICE AND DELIVERY. REPLACED AN OLD CASSETTE THAT I HAD ALONG TIME AGO. GOOD QUALITY SOUND. EXCELLENT CD BRINGS BACK A LOT OF CONCERT MEMORIES.BUCK DARMA ONE OF THE MOST UNDER RATED GUITAR PLAYERS OF THE 60'S-70'S AND 80'S HIS SONG WRITING AND GUITAR PLAYING ALONE WOULD HAVE MADE A GREAT BAND. THEN YOU TEAM HIM UP WITH A GUY LIKE ERIC BLOOM AND YOU'VE GOT ONE OF THE BEST LIVE BANDS OF THE PAST. THE CITIES STILL ON FLAME WITH ROCK AND ROLL .

Classic hard rock from some legendary rockers
Review created: 04/23/09

In the '70s, it became commonplace for bands to strike with their best stuff on a live double-album set, and for BOC, they picked a good mix of songs for their first live album. This was before the classic rock staples like 'Don't Fear The Reaper' and 'Burnin' For You' came out, so they were rockin' hard with monster cuts from their earlier albums.

Highlights on this set include the hard-rockin' 'Cities On Flame With Rock 'n' Roll', the drug-deal-gone-bad blues ballad 'Last Days Of May', and a smoking cover of Steppenwolf's 'Born To Be Wild.' The rest of this album is supercharged rocking, with clever guitar and heavy metal production. I rated this album good, because the song selection is very good, the production is good, and while the band wasn't yet in their heyday, it wasn't long after that they really made their mark. This is a great way to enjoy some of their early works, though their 'Extraterrestrial Live' album has the hits you'd expect.

On Your Feet Or On Your Knees--Blue Oyster Cult
Review created: 09/07/07

I was totally INTO B.O.C. having scored their first 3 artsy albums. The additions of Born To Be Wild, Aint Got You and Buck's Boogie--I remembered from a Winterland, SF concert I attended in 1975. The sight of the 5 of them--each with a guitar in their hands spread out along the stage is the same picture as the album's INSIDE cover--AND I Got to SEE and Hear it ALL!! So now, I'm using the CD to RE-LIVE THAT MIND-BLOWING experience!!! Blue Oyster Cult works like HELL on-stage and their fans usually leave the venue--drained!!

Blue Oyster Cult / On Your Feet
Review created: 10/10/06

I bought Blue Oyster Cult / On Your Feet several weeks ago. Although the recordings are the same as the old L.P. It's nice to hear this recording without the pops and hiss. I searched for quit some time before I found this rare and inexpensive find. I highly recommend this C.D. to everyone!!!

  Out of Obscurity

This is early, live B.O.C. The first half of the CD is raw energy, with an almost punk-like pace. A lot of the stuff on this CD are from Tyranny and Mutation and Secret Treaties. The guitars are what stick out and Buck Dharma really lets her loose on Last Days of May. I dig the guitar energy on this Cd. THe only song most people would recognize is Cities on Flame, so you know this is early stuff. IF you are a B.O.C. fan it is a MUST. If you dig classic rock guitar this is a real diamond in the rough.
