Album Notes Logging production credits while working for Puff Daddy's Hit Men, producer Younglord has branched out with his solo debut album. THE RED BOOK MASTERS features some of Younglord's up-and-coming MC's, all the while showcasing the talents of this young beat-maker. Among the highlights on the 13-song release are "Gotham City" (Nuygen & Black), "Start Something" (Mark Twain) and "Red Book" (Bop). Younglord manages to keep the street feel but has a mature, polished production sound to his credit. Also noteworthy is the smooth, head-nodding "Table For Two" from the Crime Fam. Street beats and hot MC's--how can you go wrong? Be sure to check out the instrumental breaks on the disc as well, which showcase Younglord's gift for beat-making.
