  I am Smarter Thn a 5th Grader! 3 apples

I will admit it, I am 41 years old and I am a fan of this TV show,"Are you Smarter Than A 5th Grader". I love game shows and purchased this game for my computer to play it since there isn't any baseball games to watch on TV.

First the good aspects of this game:

It works great on Windows XP - had no trouble installing the game or getting it to run.

Once you earn $4 million you are considered on honor roll where you can choose between regular play or honor roll, if you choose honor roll the questions are only 4th and 5th grade questions and are harder. You can win more money in honor roll mode.

This game is great for children to play.

The game rules are the same as the TV game.

If you are hearing impaired within the options you can turn on subtitles and everything Jeff says can be read at the top of the screen.

Now for the down sides of this game:

The graphics leave a lot to be desired. The 5 classmates do not look "real" at all. Jeff looks at the card when he is just making comments in the intro. Every time the question comes up (or at least most of the time) you see the chalkboard behind the classmates and it is hard to read the full question (unless you scroll to the left with your mouse). I personally feel they rushed this game out to make $$$ on the popularity of the TV show.

The apples in the classroom appear to be floating in the air.

I have played the game about 10 times, and already some of the questions are repeating themselves.

It seems like all this kids voices sound the same - like they only have one sound effect for the kids.

Unlike the TV game, this game does not allow you to find out what your classmate's best subjects are.

Overall, this would be a fun game for the kids, not the best in graphics, but it might be worth the $15 I paid for it!

I gave this game 3 stars out of 4. I would have given it more if they did not seem to rush it out to the stores and put more time into it's quality. I would give it 4 stars as far as fun and ease of us goes.

I like the TV game show so I decided to get the computer version which does a very good job of imitating the show. Some of the questions are challenging and you would be surprised on how much you don't remember.

I enjoy the TV show, so I thought that I would try the PC game. It's fun.
Only problem...some questions appear behind the students heads and you don't see all the words.

  I AM smarter than a 5th grader

A lot of fun. The questions do make you think. It'll help keep your brain active. However, the repetition of some things can get a little trying. There should be a way to circumvent some of it. Once you've seen and heard it - you've seen and heard it.
