Very Helpful Book!
If you have ever had a family member diagnosed with mental illness, you know how hard it can be to take care of yourself when you are busy caretaking for others. This book provides a comprehensive guide on how to set boundaries, and to take care of yourself when the world around you seems to be very chaotic. It is written in a no nonsense, straightforward fashion-full of secific and helpful examples of situations you may be placed in. As a social worker, I highly recommend this book to any family with someone in the mental health system. It is also a good book for "helping" professions to read as well to gain a better understanding of family dynamics when in crisis. One of the better books I have read. Most books address the diagnosed person and give ways for them to cope; this book is designed to help the family as a whole. An excellent read!
