Yoshi Touch & Go (Nintendo DS, 2005)

If you've ever played Yoshi's Island on the Super Nintendo or Game Boy Advance, you'll recognize the format of this game immediately. It's a side-scrolling game in which you exclusively use the stylus. Sounds annoying, I know, but it's one of the best implementations of a touch screen in a video game that I've ever seen.

You draw lines of clouds that form ramps, bridges, steps, etc. that Yoshi can use to reach objects or avoid enemies and obstacles. Tap Yoshi and he jumps. Tap an enemy and he throws an egg at it. Circle an enemy or coin and it is encased in a bubble that you can drag over to Yoshi.

The only complaint I have about this after playing it for about 4 hours is that the game is short. Once you master the first "level", other gameplay types are unlocked but even with those, it's a short game. Still, it's so rich that you'll find yourself playing it over and over without getting bored.

It is really cool that you are finally using the touch screen but that is all it really is, which is directing the falling yoshi!!!!

It is a great game and it strickly used the stylus on the DS ... it is loads of fun and I cant get enough of it neither can my kids we are always trying to beat the high scores on it ... very addicting game dont ever want to put it down.... decided to buy the game because all the others i had dont use the stylus a lot and just wanted to see how the game was I am very glad that I bought this game....

I really enjoy this game because it utilizes the touch screen. This makes the game really interactive and more fun to play. The only thing I don't like about this game is that there are no levels, no bosses; there is no end to the game. The player just chooses from different modes. This makes the game somewhat one dimensional and it gets boring after a while. But other than that, it is a fun game when you are trying to beat your own record.

I love this game nothing like see Yoshi walking thru the cloudds great game everyone will love it the only part is challenging is get yoshi to fall from the sky and get the coins without running into the spike blockers other than that it is a blast

I bought this game for my 10 year old son. He is a huge fan of the Mario family a games and he was extremely excited and very happy with this game. It is highly recommended for the game lover in your family.

Theres three reasons why ypu should get this game 1 its got yoshi in it, you mostly use the stylus, and you throw eggs at people. Wow!!!!

I decided to buy it because it was cheap.

What I didn't like about it; I didn't have a chance to preview the game. I wish there was a capablity to see the game before you buy it. The game wasn't what I expected; just disappointed. If I knew more about it I wouldn't have bought it.

I bought the wrong Yoshi game and my Daughter tried it out and did not like it so it isnt much use to us.

My daughter loves the game and I was very please with the purchase and how quickly I got it. I will be glad to buy from this seller again.

This game is pretty fun! Both my 8 year old and myself(37yrs) have played it.
It plays on both screens for DS and a stylus to play the game. The object of the game is to guide Baby Mario and Yoshi through a course whil avoiding obstacles. It would work best if your touch screen is in great working order. I have some areas on my DS that are "touchy", so it makes its a little challenging to play.
Overall it's a fun game, and could keep you preoccupied for a few hours...

This was not a very fun game. It is too short and repetitious; the gameplay is not interesting enough for me to want to keep on playing it again. Kirby is much better! GO KIRBY!!!

While fun it has very few playing options and it gets repetitive quite quickly. The fun part is the way it responds to the stylus and tracing little clouds so you can guide your characters and it gets to be quite dinamic, it's basically one of those games for casual gamers, but no story makes it quite forgettable.

Fun classic game for the DS system, suits the touch screen on the DS well! It may sound like a simple game but always fun to play and easy enough for a young kid and yet challenging for all!
