Yodel-Ay-Ee-Oooo by Bart Plantenga (2003, Paperback)

I've read this book over and over...I am an admittedly obsessed with yodeling. Plantega's book is the only in depth book of yodeling I have ever found and it's great. Bart dicusses the origins of yodeling and covers, in detail, all the various forms troughout the world, although the focus is on alpine and cowboy yodeling. Bart's humor and knowledge shines througout the book and you will come away with a plethora of yodel info. Most of all, Yodel-Ay-Ee-Oooo is a treasure trove of yodeling artists and will lead you to some of the best yodelers in the world. My only complaint is that it's practically impossible to find the numerous recordings that are listed troughout the book (not Bart's fault). But, I keep looking!
