YES! putters will help you make more 6-10 foot putts!

I WAS a skeptic about Yes! putters but now I am a believer! I didn't believe the hype about the concentric circle grooves and Yes!'s claims that the putter gets the ball rolling faster and therefore tracks straighter. I thought it was all marketing hype, but having tried the putters (and now having owned one) I completely believe it.
I previously putted with two TaylorMade Rossa models (a toe-weighted blade model, the Daytona, and a face balanced mallet model, the Mezza Monza). I liked both putters and wasn't looking to switch. Then while at a golf tournament, I ran into a friend/ coworker who is a scratch player. She had switched over to a Yes! putter a couple years ago and swears by it. I decided to check them out. I tried one at a local shop and went ahead and purchased the Tracy model.
Here's my take on the Yes! Tracy putter.
- On putts inside of 5 ft, I'm not sure I really notice the difference between the Yes! model and my Rossa putters.
- On putts from 6-10 ft, I definitely believe that putts track straighter. There's obviously less skidding of the ball upon impact and the ball tracks noticeably straighter.
- On putts outside of 15 ft, I'm still getting used to the feel. The feel is different. The depth of the grooves creates a sensation that you are almost "digging" into the ball. I'm not sure I prefer the feel on the longer putts, but on balance, the benefit on the 6-10 footers makes me happy to adjust to the feel on the longer putts.
I'm definitely a believer and encourage everyone to check the Yes! putters out.
Plus you can't beat the price point. While not cheap at $150-$200 each, they are certainly less expensive than Scotty Cameron's and some of the other very high end, high priced models.
