Yes! is a layman's guide to the complex arts of persuasion, whether for sales, customer service, employment, or in any situation where the good will of another is essential. The cover advertising of "Fifty ways to persuade" is, if anything, an understatement.

The authors cite case studies, double-blinds, personal research, and marketing research to provide the best and most helpful techniques of ethically eliminating personal resistance. The book is written informally and journalistically, rather than resorting to academese quoted from sources.

This is an essential book for sales professionals and for administrative personnel who encounter difficult people on a daily basis. Yes, I'm impressed by the nuts-and-bolts attitude the book conveys. Put these handy ideas to use tuning up the nuts in your business and personal life, before they bolt to the competition's side.

The book basically talks about the art of persuasion. The power of words. It is a very interesting book because it teaches a person better ways of getting to "yes". However, I will write a better report when I complete the reading of the book. I heard of the book on NPR(National Public Radio)one afternoon and the discussion interested me in the book. I will recommend this book to anyone. Please get the book, you will not regret.

I am in social psych and noticed how familiar everything was in this book. It's a more organized way of looking at social ways to persuade people. It came at a reasonable price and well worth the read. The only thing is that the chapters are so short, but I also have a short attention span (not much of a reader).

I am in sales and this is a good tool to help me do a better job of understanding people. I read Cialdini's first book INFLUENCE back in the '80's and then went out to Arizona to interview him about it. He is very practical in his observations and it is interesting to learn a bit more about how people think and react. We can all benefit from this kind of study.
