The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Real by Neta Jackson (2005, Paperback)

I hope that they keep writting these books. I know that they are fiction, but I love reading them and they encourage me and remind me sometimes of what I need to be doing.

It is a book about several different women who met at a prayer conference in Chicago and have keep a promise to meet every so often to pray together and encourage each other. One woman is married to a man who doesn't have a job and they are trying to raise their two boys and get thier daughter back who was taken away by DCFS. There is another woman who wants to win the lottery and another one who is Jewish and has a bakery.

You read about some of the things that go on in thier lives to strengthen their prayer lives and thier dependance on God.

This would be great for a Christian book club. This series is highly recomended.

I've read them all, and I liked them so much I want to own the whole set. It shows God's faithfullness in every situation. It also shows how we are created unique, and God loves each one of us the same. We all grow spiritually at different rates, and can help one another.

Neta Jackson has become one of my favorite authors, I truly identify with the women in this series. After reading the first three books, I had become personal friends with all the women in the prayer group. I grew with them as I experienced every aspect of their relationships changing and atttitudes becoming more Christ-like. This book provides a perfect example of learning to accept people where they are and trusting God to change the outward behavior. The book has real life situations and the humor is real life too, the characters all become people you know and like and want to spend time with! I can't wait for book five to hit the shelves!!
