Xerox DocuMate 152 Pass-Through Scanner

We carefully selected this scanner for a client who needed to manage a lot of paper electronically. It works so we'll we've already had a referral from someone else that our client was bragging to!

The Xerox DocuMate 152 is a great scanner that generates images you can quickly turn into a fax, PDF, searchable PDF, image file and more. It comes with software that might be even better including:
* PaperPort a very effective scan management tool that comes with enhanced featured for eliminating duplicate scans and adjusting skewed scan images. (We were particularly impressed with the drag-and-drop OCR capabilities that take a PDF document with a table [drag-to-Word] or spreadsheet data [drag-to-Excel] and make a very good translation into a corresponding document ready for additional updates or revisions.)
* Xerox's own one-touch software (a tool that sits in the system try and that we did not find to be very useful),
* OmniPage which does high quality character recognition,
* X1 an index and search tool that finds documents as quickly as you can type a relevant item of content into it's search window.
* Presto BizCard for scanning business cards, correcting the recognized data, and then sending them to become Outlook contacts in a single final step.

In comparative reviews this unit was given an 'Editor's Choice by PC Magazine. I needed a fast scanner and this one is fast! Scanned a 100 page document in about 5 minutes! I have a law office and scan all documents in a client's file (correspondence, pleadings, motions, etc.)to my case management system. Works great! The all-in-ones work great but none of them are near as fast as the Xerox Documate 152 scanner.

Super fast scan speed and it saves me a lot of time to store my documents.It has many features that you can save your documents as any format you want. The scan quality is very good, I usually just scan to my PC and then print it out by laser printer. Great for office use.
