Top Reviews  I'll admit it - the Microsoft Xbox is great 11 of 15 people found this review helpful. I admit I was prepared to hate the Xbox when it first launched because a) I loved my PlayStation 2 and b) I hated Microsoft. And then I played the Xbox... I was really impressed by the graphics, the great games and the superior online experience. The general Xbox user interface just seemed better overall than that of the PlayStation. Online gaming on a console would never be the same, and yet I was disappointed that Microsoft in its first attempt at a gaming system could outdo Nintendo and Sony. The DVD and CD abilities are nice, too. Are there any weak points for the Xbox? Yes. The system is bulky. If you are tight on space then a PlayStation 2 Slim might be a better choice for you. And unlike the PlayStation 2, you have to pay to play online in the Xbox Live environment. But beyond those flaws, you really have to stretch to find any chinks in Xbox armor. It is a solid machine. This console was way ahead of the ps2 when it came out shortly after, the graphical processing unit alone is as fast as ps2's whole system processor, and not to mention xbox's 733mhz system processor is way enough for the sweet graphics card developed by microsoft and ...another company.i forgot, but play rallisport 2 or forza motorsport and tell me it doesnt look at least 95% real, and with no bugs and not a price over 200 anymore this system is definately STILL the choice. even when the 360 does get all fixed up, it is only alittle bit better, graphics wise, than the origial. I personally will have mine at least untill the Next microsoft platform comes out, and probably wont get a 360 till their like 200, like next year probably fall or winter. look up the specs it beats the gamecube and ps2 hands down in all areas, real surround sound support, this thing even has some hdtv support, even before only 2% of people have hdtv's, the best games, over a million pixels, and their octogon at that, cpu and gpu, of course dvd and music playback, and you can even listen Review ID: 10000000000107234 Was this review helpful?
