The Writing Strands guide helps budding, as well as reluctant, writers to learn the important structures of the writing process in a thorough, yet appealing and fun way. The author writes in a communication style. As the student reads through assignments, it is as if the author is right in the room teaching and coaching writing. I have a reluctant writer in my home and this series has helped him develop the skills necessary without overwhelming him to where he tunes out and turns off.
