Pretty good for beginners

I have now read all four of the books in this series. I would not rate it as the least helpful, but it was not as good as the books on Plot and Dialogue. I found those two extremely helpful.
While it was not as helpful as two of the others in the series, it still had a fairly useful section on developing the skills of observation. The author gives a number of suggestions on how to pay attention to the world around you for details that can be worked into a novel. I do believe these suggestions would be helpful for a beginning writer.
Since all of the books in the series feel as if they were written for the beginner, I believe this one could be a good place to start if you are wanting a book that gives you a decent introduction to how to develop description and setting.
