Album Notes
This two-disc compilation brings together some of the finest Christian-oriented artists in a veritable cavalcade of spiritual pop music. Listening to the Praise Band's "Rock of Ages," Kathryn Scott's "Hungry (Falling on my Knees)," and Sonic Flood's "In the Secret," the degree to which worship-based lyrics and secular musical formats are unselfconsciously combined is striking.
The artists included here venture into several distinct stylistic areas, including pop, rock, and country, but the lyrics, always centered around God, are obviously the common link here. If artists this disparate were in the secular field, it would be hard to imagine them all hanging around together (or included on the same compilation, for that matter). Under the banner of Christian music, though, it all makes a certain kind of sonic sense.

I own every Wow cd from 1998 to 2006, and I listen to at least one of them every day. some group takes all the songs from the year before and picks the top 30, or 19 or however many they think fit top songs of the year, and put them on what they call the Wow CD. I have them on my Ipod and Computer now, and some of them sound so modern, like Toby Mac, that you can play them when your secular friends come over and they won't be offended, although they there are all kind of genere's of music on these CDs, from Rap to Praise Gospel you would here at a contemperary church on Sunday. this and all other Wow Cd's are Highly recommended by me, and I hope you get your Orange today!
