Worms Eat My Garbage by Mary Appelhof

As a Master Gardener, I recently took a composting class which used this book as the only resource for worm composting. Mary Appelhof was a science teacher who experimented in her own basement and came up an easy to use and understand method for turning her kitchen scraps into rich vermicompost during the winter months when her regular compost bin was under snow. She has done all the research for us, and gives us easy to follow direction presented in a fun way, along with plenty of drawings. Children and adults can learn from this small but complete guide to getting started and maintaining a vermicompost system.
