Worms Armageddon (PlayStation, 1999)

This is a funny stratedgy game that puts you as a worm. It is a war game for worms. You basically get to create your own team of worms and fight other worm teams using a very wide variety of weapons(30-40.) The graphics are good and the gameplay is great. Fun game to play with friends or by yourself. Would recommend this game to a young gamer but, all ages are welcome into the world of worms.

This is a hilarious stratagy based game that the whole family can enjoy. You can use the preset teams and weapons or create your own. You can even put them in their own setting if you choose. We love to sit down as a family and pass the controller around. Watching your opponets worms fly off the screen using all forms of weapons leads to hours of hilarity. Since it is a strategy game, you do not have to be super fast on the controller. There is a time limit on your turn, but you can adjust that also. Whether you give your son a karate chop or drop a holy hand grenade on your hubby, you can kill each other without wrecking the house!
While recouperating from knee surgery last year, my sons' set up the playstation to keep me entertained. I put in Worms and played for hours while they were at schools. By the time they arrived home, I had rehoned my skills at the game and was ready to go to WAR!
This is one game that has so many different playing options that it is never the same game twice. You cannot go wrong in giving this one a try.

The worms franchise has progressed to 3d worms mayhem, however the two dimensional classic is absolutely the best. Enjoy with friends or alone, either way Worms guarantees hours of humor and entertainment.

What to say about the game... you have an army of worms thats is at war with another army of worms. Using turn-based strategy you shoot, maim, beat up, and explode the enemy army of worms with a wide array of weapons (my favorite is the classic "holy hand grenade". Even though its for the PS1 it is still highly addictive and alot of fun.

I love this game because I have been playing the Worms series for years. New weapons and level generators make it incredibly fun. I bought it because I scratched my other one and it no longer worked. I bought this used copy of the game for more then I paid for it ,at the store, new because I enjoyed it so much!

This game is timeless, a cult classic even! The condition of the game was pristene. I will never get sick of this one. The gameplay is simple yet there's lots of room for strategy. Fun for everyone, great for parties, or just hanging out with a few friends. This fine game was brought to you by the same folks who created Lemmings, another timeless strategy game. It's no wonder that some folks are charging unreal amounts for a 10+ year old game...

The ps3 version of workms is much better. Why? The ps3 downloadble game has way better graphics, better sound, better level choices, and better weapons.

Worms Armageddon is probably the best game released... ever. The fact that my girlfriend won't play it with my has nothing to do with the game's awesomeness or apparent lack-there-of, but rather with my girlfriend's own bunk taste in video games. Thank you so much for keeping this game in good condition so I could revisit my childhood!!!

The classic worms battle just the way we all learned to love it!! Better, stronger, crazier, and MORE weapons to destroy enemy worms! A great game for family, friends, or by yourself!

I had played the game before some time ago and loved it. I would say it is a game for the whole family as well as almost any age level.

A very addictive game if your are into turn based tactical war games. This game got me to a point where I played it everyday for a minimum of three hours. The first night I got it I played it all night long. A few graphical flaws are really not something to care about. For the charm of this game is in the actual gameplay. I highly recomment this title either on the PS1 or PC. Once I hit a part in the game where I just could not pass it I stoped playing. So beware there are some challenging moments in this game that have a true potential to ruin the fun.

I used to have the game for the nintendo 64 and loved it. I now realize that the graphics are cheesy but it's still fun.

this game works very well and gave me zero problems. I decided to buy it because I missed how much fun I had with this game years ago.

Game did not work...was a sad day when i put the game in my system and my friends system and same results... black screen of death=(
