I bought the book because it was suggested to me by someone I respect. The book is excellent in some parts but a little long in others. Definitely worth reading if you want to understand how the world got to where it is now.

  Continuing money education

In an effort to continue learning about money, how it works and how I can best apply it in my life I ordered the Worldly Philosophers to increase my understanding of economics and how it effects our lives. In order to better learn what may happen in the future I first need to learn about monies past. This is a very educational book. It is very interesting to see how different men, governments and organizations throughout history have made a difference in how money is perceived and used. I would highly recomend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about how money evolved into what we use today.
