The World of Robert Bateman by Robert Bateman (1994, Hardcover, Reissue)

This is a beautiful book. Robert Bateman's art is just fantastic. I really like the small section in the front of the book that is done in black and white on buff textured paper. I have always admired the work of Roger Tory Peterson and I couldn't agree with him more on Robert Bateman. The real luxurious tidbit is the small narriative that Bateman gives on his gallery of glorious colored plates of his work, some of them even magnificent enough to frame and hang...although I dare not cut up such a fine book. We used to have a word we made up for something fantastic and fabulous...fantabulous. It certainly fits Robert Bateman's work. Excellent quality paper and binding on the book.
