World Championship Poker (PlayStation 2, 2004)

One of the best poker games I have played with live commentary and computer players that actually seem like they are real!!! This is a great game with lots of variety and would be great for any poker player!

This was a good game, I enjoyed it. My favorite part was making the characters. There are hundreds of options to choose from and it is lots of fun. The gameplay is good. It doesn't specialize in one particular version of poker but offers a whole lot of games and variations of those games.

This game is a good game. It teaches you how to play various types of poker and also keeps a running dollar amount so you can see how good you actually are. The only downfalls on this game are the graphics are a little lame and after you lose out of a tournament the tournament still goes on without you. It doesnt just skip to the end. Overall I give this game about a 4.5/5.

I like that it is a user friendly game. I enjoy playing texas holdem very much.The online price was much more attractive than any local retail stores. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing casino poker.

I decided to buy it because my husband and I like playing poker. I should have done some more research on this game. It is only a 1 player game. Playing the game can be best described as a sleep aid. If you're trying to go sleep but can't, pop this game in! It is sooooooo slow. Not only does it show your character deliberating and its animation, but it shows every single person sitting at the table, it take forever. I literaly fell asleep playing this game.

Not knowing what to expect going into it, I was overall pretty impressed. The graphics are great and it is quite addicting. My only complaints are that it sometimes goes by slowly and the easier games are quite easy.

Very pleased. Worth every penny. Great graphics too!!I bought the New game 3 weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available. It has a great sound effects and visuals. The game is perfect for 1 or 2 players. My only complaint is that my husband wants to play it all the time!! Overall, I'd recommend the game to anyone.

I bought this game for my husband because he enjoys playing poker online as well as on the playstation. He really enjoys this game. As well as the guide that came with the game.

I wanted a game to play with on my playstation. This was very reasonable priced and it was brand new. I bought it mainly because it was cheaper than the others and it was exactly what I wanted.

I liked most every aspect of this game. graphics could be improved upon and a "skip to see winner of tournament" feature would be nice for those times when you have been eliminated but want to see the outcome without having to sit there and let the computer play the game out. also there should be more multiple player options besides just player vs cpu. more challenging skill levels would be a plus. all in all I rate it as good and cant wait for a newer improved version.

We Rate World Championship Poker for PS2 as a 4 out of 10. It offers GOOD GAME PLAY, but is very limited with its basic features. It is a one-player only game, when first playing the game youre only able to choose from one player design, and all of your fellow poker players in the game look alike(their faces dont look any different than yours). We were not at all impressed with the graphics, as we expected much better for PS2. Also, when you lose at a table, you have to wait for all other players to win/lose before you can start a new game, unless you reset it by going back to the Main Menu and starting over. When youre all out of cash, you cannot just "simply" start over at a new table to keep playing. In order to "personalize" your character, you have to save the settings to memory card.

Again, its a good game to play, but it is very basic.

Enjoy playing this game. so far we have had no problem with the disc and the jacket shows no wear. It didn't smell like smoke, thats very important to us. came in a timely manner.

I WAS LOOKING ON EBAY AND I SAW THIS GAME I WATCH GAMES LIKE THIS ON T.V. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IT SO I HAVE A PLAYSTATION2 THAT I CAN PLAY THIS GAME ON AND I SAY I WILL LIKE THIS GAME AWHOLE LOT THANKS

This game is alright. I think by now there are WAY better poker games out there. The environments are interesting and pretty well rendered, but the character models are AWFUL! This game has a "create a player" mode where you can style a players looks etc... to get it to look like yourself. But let me warn you, it is impossible to get one that even looks close to your actual appearance. Partly due to bad graphics and partly due to bad development.

An upside to this game is that it has upwards of 25 poker games to choose from. From Pineapple to Five-card Stud to Texas Hold'em. You can also enroll in tournaments. The computer intelligence is alright, but after a while, you can easily figure out what the computer is going to do most of the time. The controls are good and the poker atmosphere while playing is well done. Partly due to the environments. You might get bored of this game after playing for 10-15 hours though! Not much replay value!!!!

You'd do well to get the newer edition on this game or even a different poker game. But if price is a factor, this game should be cheap! I wouldn't pay over $15 for it though!
