World Championship Games: A Track & Field Event (Nintendo DS, 2009)

I bought this game because I liked the description, but I have to say, it's disappointing in most areas.

First off, the graphics are not very good. Your characters look abstract and somewhat grainy.

Secondly, learning the different controls for each event is rather difficult. Once, you get them down, you do okay, but it's easy to get frustrated if you can't pick up the process or have trouble understanding it quickly.

Third, when you compete in events where you have to run, you cannot focus on tapping the footprints when needed and monitoring your location in the race at the same time. For example, to run quickly, you have to tap the footprints when the gray bar is in the middle of the foot. While you do this, you cannot look at the top screen to see where you are positioned in the race, nor can you see if you are near the finish line. That is a bit frustrating.

Overall, I would rate this game as barely average. If you want to give it a try, don't pay more than $10 dollars.
