A World of Art by Henry M. Sayre (2004, Paperback, Revised)

I bought this book for an art appreciation class and it was the required text. This book is filled with information that is easy to process and engages you in the interesting facts about art and its history.

I loved that I received this book so quickly and that it was in good condition. I would buy again from this person because of the excellent service and they emailed me to make sure that I received the product and to find out if I was happy with it.

I was extremely upset when I paid for this book and even paid extra to have it expedited and NEVER even got the thing. When I contacted the seller, they gave me some story about not receiving the order but they sure took my money and then promised to refund the purchase which never happened either. I needed this book for a class I was taking and it really put me in a bind. I won't use the seller or perhaps even this site again. Just cant trust it.

I really did not end up using the book since I ended up dropping the class. I can tell it would have been helpful and of great use just by flipping through it. It gives great examples of paintings and techniques it talks about.

I needed this book for my intro to art class...good book. lots of pictures and different pieces of art...

This book is a good substitute if you need a textbook for school. This edition is almost exactly the same as the 2006 (5th Edition) minus a few pictures here and there, so it makes sense that you would save about $65 and buy this one. I did and it worked for my Art Appreciation class at Salisbury University.

Anyways, if having different numbered pages and some differences in pictures arent your thing, then dont buy this, else just go for it!

Almost identical to the 5th edition. Only real difference is 16 extra photos and additional literature at the end of the book. Compared to the high price for the 5th edition, this is a steal if your instructor says you can use it. Unsure about CD content, I did not receive one and my instuctor is not even using it.

This boook is in pretty good condition just like what the description says!!! The only thing is, is that I ordered another book from these people and I still haven't recieved it. I'm very upset about this!

I got my package in the mail, and it was in great condition. It took almost three weeks to receive the package. That might have been because of the shipping option I chose. Seller sent package within a few days of payment.

As a college student, I love reading about art, and this book fascinates me! I really enjoy learning all of the concepts of art, whether its about shape or art history! I do read you know, so this book is one of the best that Sayre has written!

Received the book promptly and love it though it is hard to find the vocabulary words. Good images and good choice of artwork. It is formatted well and the text is pretty interesting.

I bought this book for a class. It was the cheapest book at the highest quality. I like that I can buy textbooks through e-bay. I will continue using e-bay to buy my texts for classes.

Vocabulary in text is kind of hard to find. Pictures are sometimes referred to past ones in the text. Costs way too much for a new book (mine was 100+), defiantly buy a used book. There is a cd that comes with the book, might be used, be sure to check for it.

I love that the book was at an affordable price. Not only that but it was shipped to me fast. I did not dislike anything about this item. I purchased this book for a course for school. I would definitely recommend all buyers to buy from this seller. A+++

I had first purchased the book at the college store when a co-worker told me about big potential savings if I purchased it on half.com. Luckily I still had my receipt which by the way was for $70 and some change for a USED book. I then purchased the same book online for just under $20 including shipping. I held on to the first book I purchased due to some skepticism I had, being my first purchase of this kind. To my surprise, I received the book rather quickly and it was in better shape than the one I purchased for $50 more. I am very pleased and I intend to continue purchasing my college books here.
