i purchased this dvd thinking it was a great deal. After i recieved the dvd it had some chinese or japanese writing on it. I put it in the dvd player and sure enough it was a foreign language. Luckily i can switch the language to english and i'm still able to watch it. On there add they do not explain that detail any were, and the pictures not that clear to see the foriegn language on the box. The cartoons are fine as long as i switch them to english.

This is an outstanding DVD set and my grandkids love it. So does Grandpa!!!

I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is a Wody Woodpecker fan.

THESE HAVE TO BE SOME OF THE BEST KIDS CARTOONS EVER MADE!! I WATCHED THESE LAST WEEKEND AND I STILL LAUGHED! AND I AM WELL OVER 21YRS OLD !!MY NEICES WILL LOVE THESE !!

These cartoons have not been available for a very long time and this is the best quality I have seen. This first volume has the original introduction of the Woody Woodpecker character and a great collection of classic Walter Lantz "cartunes" including my all time favorite "Shhhh"! Loved every minute of the 3 disc set!

Woody Woodpecker is classic!!! I grew up on this cartoon, so to be able to find it in this day and age is great!

Very good, high quality easy menu.Wanted it for my oldies collection.It will definalty make you laugh out loud.It is fun time spent together with the kids.They enjoy watching them more than once.

Theres not one episode with abbey gator. Besides that, I love it. I grew up on woodywoodpecker. Now my kids can enjoy it also.

You guys have no idea how frustrated I was before I finally found this dvd! Every time I would see a dvd with Woody on the cover, I would buy it only to be dissapointed time after time after time. Every time, there would be only ONE episode featuring Woody! The same Woody episode EVERY TIME! I wanted to pull my hair out! Then the Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection (2007, DVD)was released. I was expecting to be dissapointed again, but I decided to take a chance. Boy, was I GLAD I took that chance! This dvd collection has everything a Woody Woodpecker fan has been craving for and MORE! Not only does this collection have every episode from the very beginning of Woody's career from 1940 through 1952(in chronological order), but it has many bonus features you have GOT to check out! If it was created by Walter Lantz, IT'S IN HERE! This dvd has many other cartoons IN ADDITION TO tons of Woody Woodpecker! There's Oswald The Lucky Rabbit from the 1930's. There's Andy Panda from 1939 through 1949! There's Chilly Willy from the 1950's! PLUS: Cartune Classics and Swing Symphonies from the 1940's through the 1950's! This dvd collection has it all! I'm so happy with this collection, I feel like i'm 8-years old again! MY QUEST IS FINALLY OVER!!! Excuse me, I think I'm going to cry(tears of joy)! I can't wait for the next collection!
