It Won't Be Soon Before Long by Maroon 5 (CD, May-2007, Octone Records)

Yes! I think so. From lusty songs like "Sweet Kiwi" to the ballad-like "Goodnight Goodnight" I loved this CD. The songs flow between upbeat and smooth with jazzy undertones. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer!

This CD is on my ipod, car stereo and home stereo 24/7. Songs About Jane was an awesome CD, but It Wont Be Soon Before Long trumps it with more songs to dance to like Makes Me Wonder, Cant Stop, Kiwi, and beautiful songs to sing along to like Nothing Lasts Forever and Won't Go Home Without You.
There's angst, love, yearning, and a little more sexual innuendo than on SAJ. You'll have the CD memorized after a week, its just that hard to stop listening to.
There are also 7 bonus tracks on several different IWBSBL versions-international imports and limited editions.

This Cd is awhole alot different from their first album. I think they went a different way. I think their songs have a mix between Talkin Heads, Prince, and alittle Red Hot Chili Peppers. The best songs on this CD would have to be Makes Me Wonder, Goodnight Goodnight, Can't Stop, and Kiwi. If you liked their first CD you will love this one. BUY IT!!!

Since their first album of "Songs about Jane"(2002), they toured and were in the writing and reordering process for over five years. Now their sound which have a hint of overproduction is actually a exceptional sound. Each song sounds like a continuation of a 80s movie, streaming 80s pop with electric funk. My favorites "if i never see your face again", "makes me wonder"(michael jackson sound), "little of your time", "wake up call", "won't go home without you", and "nothing last forever" which attributes from the verses of Kanye West's "Heard Em' Say". It's altogether a really good album and urge anyone to buy it, but it takes awhile for die hard fans to get use to the sound.

I tell you what, if you thought like I did that the first album was too whiney, this one is a 5 star. It's like this album has just been waiting for them all this time to jump out of nowhere and usher them from "every other band" into super-stardom. The songs are so much more defiant and in your-face lyrics, which I love. Get this album.

This album doesn't come close to "Songs about Jane." The new disc is washed, scrubbed and polished to the point where you just want to hear some raw emotion out of Levine's voce but you never do. But instead what you do get is smartly written, swarmy pop gems that is still better than most of anything else on the radio these days.

All over the disc you get snippets of other artists that have influenced them and that mostly comes from the 80's. You get a Prince tune: "Kiwi," with its metaphorical lyrics, "Goodnight Goodnight," which sounds as if it fell out of Stevie Wonder's amazing songbook and the stunning "Better that we Break." Maroon 5's a great band, but here it seems as if they are going after a new audience while trying to sustain their old but without branching out as artists. They can handle more than what they are doing on this disc. Levine at times, treads the same waters as he did in "Songs about Jane."

Each song is well written, produced & played. I like each of them for different reasons but I find that I like ALL of them very much. It's great to play on long drives & I do so every day!

I love Adam's voice. Each song is incredible. Boy these guys are so very talented, looking forward to many more cd's in the future.

I got on eBay looking for Maroon 5's first CD 'Songs About Jane' and ran across their new one also. I wasn't expecting what I got. I thought I was a fan before, this album is better than the first! I would definitly encourage people to buy this CD if they are into a funky rock type of music.

I love this album. Usually there is only 1 or 2 songs on an album that you like, but I llike every one of the songs. Although, I do have my favorites. ! of them is song # 2 " It Makes Me Wonder" If you like the group, Maroon 5, then you will love this CD.

I bought this Cd since I loved the song "Won't Go Home Without You". Then when I got the Cd and listending to the whole thing I fell in love with all the songs. IF you are a Maroon 5 fave I think you will really love this CD. My husband had not heard of them and I played this on a long car drive and he fell in love with it too.

Won't Go Home Without You is great - reminds me of Beatles or Police. I didn't know Maroon 5 was that versatile.

On "Songs About Jane" there were a few solid singles to even out the duds, but this album seems like they just plugged words into a computer and cranked out standard pop. Adam Levine has such a unique voice and style that he can do so much better amidst a sea of much-the-same, but it seems like they shot straight for the least they'd have to do to turn a buck and got it. They're a very talented band and can certainly do better than this.

I ordered this product and paid for it but never received it. I wrote a message to the person I bought it from telling them I did not receive the product about three weeks ago but never got a reply.

I am always leary of buying a CD that I love just one song by the artist. However, this CD did not disappoint in the least! Wonderful CD! I loved it! I like the upbeat tempo for most of the CD. I definitely recomend it 100%!!!

I really liked the cd and wanted to give the same cd to my boss for his bday. The unfortunate problem was that I bought it from a power seller "yourcdstore" who is selling pirated copies. I ended up having to go to the store and a buy an original. I do recommend the cd but not the seller with whom I purchased it from. Watch out as he is also selling on half.com. I have reported this seller to ebay, but they blindly turn the other way and let him continue to conduct unlawful business. Shame on ebay!

Good variety of songs. Many have the same theme; i.e. lost love, breaking up, etc. But the band is definitely maturing and their sound has improved much since Songs About Jane.
