Michael Douglas plays an English professor, Grady Tripp, a slouch who is as adulterous as he is pubescent. He's losing his third wife and his mistress is pregnant by him. His defunct literary agent (Robert Downy, Jr.) has screwed up a novel Tripp's been working on for 7 years. Together, Douglas and Downy are a marvelously inept and unlucky pair of adult boys on the run on the screen. The show is full of their antics, frustrations, trials, and tribulations as they strive to succeed as men while behaving like teen boys. Bob Dylan won the Oscar for Best Song, "Things Have Changed." There's a little bit of every kind of scandal I can think of in this amusing drama. Watch it, you'll love it.

I HAVE TO WATCH THIS MOVIE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR. MICHAEL DOUGLAS AND TOBY MCGUIRE GIVE SUPERB PERFORMANCES AS DOWN ON THEIR LUCK MISFITS. COULD IT GET ANY WORSE, ONE'S GIRLFRIEND IS PREGNANT, ONE HAS WRITER'S BLOCK AND ONE IS OBSESSED WITH THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE AND HOLLYWOOD DEATHS. BELIEVE IT OR NOT THINGS DO GET WORSE BEFORE THEY GET BETTER. THIS IS A VERY FUNNY, DARK COMEDY AND DEFINITELY WORTH YOUR TIME.

In this movie, Wonder Boys, Grady Tripp is a middle-aged novelist teaching at a local college in Pennsylvania. Grady has been married several times and his third wife leaves him. He was having an affair with the university chancelor and finds out she is expecting. Grady experiences one of the craziest weekends that will make you laugh. This DVD includes a music video by Bob Dylan called 'Things Will Change' in addition to a cool interactive map of Pittsburgh. We had passed this movie up several times at the video store as it didn't really catch our attention until the other day.

THIS MOVIE IS A RIOT. REALLY FUNNY BUT ALSO VERY SMART. SAW IT THREE TIMES IN THE THEATER. THE ACTING IS FIRST RATE AND SO ARE THE ACTORS. DOUGLAS AND DOWNEY JR ARE INCREDIBLE ALONG WITH TOBEY MCGUIRE AND KATIE HOLMES. A MUST HAVE.

Need a little madness in your life?This movie is great if you need the affirmation that EVERYONE feels like they're going nowhere in life. All of the characters are held back in someway, but towards the end you notice they all sort of grow in themselves.
Michael Douglas is a professor who's stuck finishing his book, Tobey Maguire is a crazed student who really just needs someone to be there, Frances McDormand is secretly in love with the english professor and Robert Downey Jr. loves him some transvestites!
Kick back and watch it. You shouldn't be disappointed.
