The best thing about this book is that it is not just based on the opinion and experiences of one woman. The author based her writings on information gathered through personal interviews and surveys of a diverse group of thousands of men. If you are wondering "what in the world is my husband/boyfriend/son thinking," this is a book that will probably have your answers.

This book provides an inciteful look at ways in which men think differently and have different expectations from women. It is based on surveys of men about their expectations and how they think and feel about relationships with their women. Percentage of respondents answering in various way is provided so the book doesn't pretend that all men are the same, but it does point out that there are tendencies that the majority of men will fall into. This with its companion volume, "For men Only" makes a great set of books for those wanting to understand their relationship with the opposite sex better. Sit down and read them together and discuss them as you go.

I bought this book at the suggestion from my pastor's wife during a ladies class one night. It was excellent. This book answers a lot of questions. I've been married for almost 11 years, and this opened a whole new world to me. It really helps me understand my husband more. Great book if you want to strengthen your marriage.

i recieved this book as a gift at a marriage retreat with our church. this is a truly incredible piece of work. i THOUGHT i had a good idea of men and what makes them tick.... but this goes so beyond that it is an absolute MUST and now i always give one for bridal showers and wedding gifts.

If I had read this book before my marriage ended, I may still be married. Wonderfully written, insightful and eye-opening. This should be required reading for every woman who is married, engaged, or hope to be. Just understanding them from this perspective has renewed my respect for men in general, and specifically for the men in my life.

I have read a lot of books of this nature. This one was REALLY insightful for me as I seek to be a better wife and better understand my husband.

Very informative and most helpful in understanding how men feel & think. Would definately rec. to others because it is well worth the money. Nothing to dislike about this book. Has helped me to gain a closer relationship with my husband... you just can't put a price tag on that.

This is an important book for anyone who is married - or even those who are not because it promotes understanding of the opposite sex that we thought we knew but actually didn't know. Therefore, it is an excellent tool in communication. This includes all males, even sons. I bought one for each of my daughters-in-law also. I intend to review this book periodically. There are insights that I need to remember so that my husband and I can have a meaningful relationship. Misunderstandings can be lessened if we keep these insights in our minds.

This book and it's companion book, "For Men Only" by Jeff and Shaunti Feldhahn, seem to be an excellent source of information on getting a better understanding of the friends in your life, of the other gender. I bought this book and read it, then bought "For Men Only", and was half-way through it when my wife died, so we didn't get to discuss how to improve our communication.

I heard the book talked about on a radio program. It sounded like a good book whether your marriage was good or you just wanted to make it better. It was really eye-opening in some places and helped me to better understand how a man is wired so I could understand why they do or don't do or think about things. It really helped me in my relationship with my husband as well as with my son. Although, I must admit it is very difficult to change some of my habits and thinking-like always questioning him on his choice of routes when driving! But I am working on it! I would recommend this book to every female, married or not. In fact I have told at least 10 people about the book and how cheap and easy it is to get it at half.com

Love the book! Many people have told me that it is a must have for those that are in relationships. It is really easy reading and the author gives specific examples about things to do and not do. I've already learned a couple of things I need to remember when dealing with my relationship.

This book was truly life-changing for me because it gave me an even greater understanding of my dear husband, and we have been married for over 30 years!

If you are in a relationship or ever plan on being in a relationship with a man, then you have to read this book. Men and woman are just "wired" differently. I can't tell you how many times I have taken something personal that a man has done, and I really shouldn't have. This book just plugs you into their brain and lets you understand how and why they act, do, say certain things. It opens your heart to being a better woman for the men in your lives. I loved this book so much I got every woman I loved a copy! Shaunti's 7 Revelations are so eye-opening. "1) Men Need Respect 2) Men are insecure 3) Men are Providers 4) Men want more sex 5) Men are Visual 6) Men are unromantic clods {this is not true} 7) Men care about appearance" It might just seem like simple solutions, but this book is about understanding and living with integrity. Shaunti has a way of giving us all of the secrets to love and respect our men, without holding back. There are some things that you are going to read that will hurt a little, like when she brings up the fact that we need to look good for our husbands, "He doesn't need you to be a size 3, but he does need you to make the effort to take care of yourself for him-and he'll willingly help you" (pg 155). Overall this book send such a powerful message! It's priceless!

I loved this very informative book. It was written by a woman, but it was based on information from men. There were a lot of surprises about the men in our lives and the way that they feel and act. I would never have known a lot of these things if I hadn't read this book. Shaunti Feldhahn did a great job in this book, and I highly reccomen it to any women out there confused byt he men in her life. It is well written and easy to read.

This book was life changing. it was an easy read and really taught me about men and how they think and act and why. i highly reccomend it.

I bought it because many people told me it was a good book. Overall I really like it. I haven't finished the book yet, so I can't give the best review on the subject. It is good to know the information she shares. It's just a good thing to keep in mind when you are in a relationship/marriage with a man.

I have never had a book make such an impact in my life in such a short period of time. It started a small revolution among my friends that helped us to understand and enrich our relationships with the men around us, and specifically with our significant others. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone!
