The Woman's Day Book of Granny Squares and Other Car...
This is a great book with projects for Grannies.
1. The patterns are east to follow.
2. Each pattern has a photo in black and white with it, and all patterns have colored photos grouped together.
3. There are patterns in here that I have yet to see anywhere else, which makes it a "keeper."
I have found that I have seldom done wrong when buying anything crochet pattern related when it comes to Woman's Day.

) the book is about granny sqaures its techniques and stitches this book is from 1975 so it was really updated for the times. I enjoyed all the book offered in granny sqaures. thank you hope you will too.

I am new to crochet. I have been looking for a book that was in words and terms I could understand. Well, this is it. The Woman's Day Crochet Book goes into great understandable clear detail of every item you are working on, how much of each item you will need and all the details of what to do for every project. It is a great book for beginners all the way up to experts. This book has many very nice projects and ideas to make crocheting an even more enjoyable project than it already is. Most instructions have a picture or drawing of the pattern you are working on. In the middle of the book, it has most of the projects shown in color photos. This book was written in the mid 70's but the knowledge that it contains is timeless. I would encourage anyone interested in crocheting or seasoned crocheters looking for more projects to work, to go out and buy this book. It is a must have for all crouchers. My personal favorite is the Mosaic Skirt. Happy Crocheting.

This book may be great for anyone who does not have much information on granny squares but I was disappointed because I already have most of what the book contained, although, I liked the Hassock pattern, the super tote and the men's tie. I liked one afghan more than most but as I stated, the book is pretty basic, nothing out of the ordinary. A lot of the wearable clothes in the book are of course, outdated, since the book was published in 1975, so enough said there. There are some things from the 70's that are timeless and then there are some things that need to be remembered as historical. I would really only recommend this book if you don't have a lot of patterns and you want to get acquainted with the all enduring granny square.
