A Woman After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George (2006, Paperback, Expanded)

I decided to buy this book after a friend at church suggested I read her copy. This book SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING for any woman planning to get married or have children! It would make an excellent gift for graduations, bridal showers, birthdays-- any event for the special females in your life.

This is the first book by Elizabeth George I've been exposed to and her style of writing is very easy to follow. The truths laid-out in this FEMALE GUIDE TO LIFE were very eye opening to me personally. While I read it, I took notes so that I could study more deeply what I was learning. There are scripture references and notes by chapter with references. Also, there is a "Quiet Times Calendar" that is very simplistic but effective for revealing your pattern of spending time alone with our Lord.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book to any woman even considering making a purchase. It is only 295 pages but it is one of those GREAT books that you have to read more slowly, re-read, go back and READ AGAIN, and refer to yet again later. It is the most helpful book I've read in a really long time, if ever.

Be prepared to be have your eyes opened and your heart changed. Listen to the quiet voice of God as your read this book. Turn your love for God into a passion of wanting to become the woman of excellence that God designed you to be.
