If you are expecting the same 'ol Andrew W.K., you will be surprised. This album sounds older, more like classic rock. It is not bad, but you should be warned that it is different.

When Andrew W.K. released his debut album I Get Wet early last year, he garnered more than his fair share of attention, from his bloody mug that adorned the album cover to the licensing of the song to seemingly anyone who asked, to the hype that he was THE next big thing (at last count, about 200,000 copies sold, not quite). What was for sure was that while the public didn't buy into the hype created for the guy, this guy, unlike oh say, The Vines, actually deserved the hype. Andrew W.K.'s first album, I Get Wet, is a refreshing blast of loud, fast, guitars, cheeseball lyrics, and FUN. His second album, The Wolf, follows in a very similar vein. There is a difference in sound, though. Some of the basics are still there: the piano, loud, big-sounding guitars, cheesy and fun lyrics. The difference is that most of the songs are slower in tempo than the ones on I Get Wet, the lyrics rely less on partying than a sort of positive self-help theme that was there before but was not as big of a focus, and the piano is more prominently featured, giving the tunes more of a...
