The Wizard (DVD, 2006)

Not only is this one of the defining movies of the 80's.it is a masterpiece.. With an allstar cast like: Savage,Slater,Bridges, and a disturbed mute kid who rocks the nes without the power-glove........simply amazing

I bought this DVD because it brought back memories and I remeber watching it as a kid. I hadn't watched it in like 10 years. WOW!!! it was even better than I remembered. It's funny, it's a adventure and you get to see some amazing NES games being played on the big screen. Oh yeah, and Lucus is freakin bad. My wife even enjoyed watching it with me. A must have!!!

I loved this movie in the 80's.I was happy when it came out in DVD,been looking for it for some time,and happened to find it on ebay. If I would of thought to look in ebay first I would of saved myself alot of time. The price was really a plus also.

Great movie. Brings me back to childhood when Nintendo ruled the world.
Could have shown the nes games a bit more. After all it was the selling point of the flick.

I watched this movie years ago and wanted to buy it and finally I did. I really enjoy the movie and I know the kids do aswell.

i love this movie and havent seen it since i was a kid playing the first nintendo. oooo the good all days.

Classic movie looking at two brothers making their way to the Nintendo Championship and the hardships they find along their journey.

I purchased "The Wizard" because I remembered taking a bunch of my little school friends to see it in the theater to celebrate my 10th birthday. It's a cute story, starring Fred Savage and Christian Slater. The story is centered around Nintendo (think old-school Simon's Quest, Castlevania and such) and the quest for the master of video games, and happens to be the movie in which Nintendo debuted 'Super Mario Bros. 3.' So what did I think after viewing it again 16 years later? The editing (during the actual Nintendo game play) is a little off and can be a little distracting. But the story is quirky and entertaining, sooooo 80s, and I still LOVE it!

Saw this movie on tv and had to have it. Haven't watched it since i was 8. Loved it then love it now good funny movie.

This is a good old school movie to watch. If you enjoy video games from back in the day this movie will bring back memories. Very good and enjoyable movie to watch

Okay, I bought this movie because, if you grew up in the same generation, then you have to remember when Nintendo ruled the video game world and the mere rumour of a new Super Mario game got us all excited, and this movie came out at the height of all that craziness and captured it perfectly. Watching it again now is nothing more than purely for a little bit of re-living the childhood moments. Plus it is pretty cool to see the power glove in action again after so long. Funny that Nintendo had the motion control concept so long ago but only now really developed it for their wii console.

I saw it as a kid and knew I had to have it in my movie collection! This movie brings back so many good memories of playing video games growing up with my brother. I loved it!

I remember watching this movie when it first came out...had a crush on Fred Savage at the time! LOL the movie is great....especially when the family realizes what they've missed and such....

I love this movie, loved it since I was a little kid. I am very glad that it came out on dvd, brought me back to those old days when I would watch it every other day.

this movie reminds me of THE WHO-TOMMY but no musical numbers and instead of pinball its videogames.I had watched it in the movies and liked it and after all these years still love it as it shows the golden age of nintendo and videogaming added with a far out storyline as 3 kids go on a quest to close a chapter in their lives

I wanted the movie for a long time because i haven't seen it for a long time. I disliked it because its taking me a long time to get it from the company because they had to reship it. The company lost it in the mail and i haven't received it at all including today. I hope that I will get the movie shortly from the company (redline-videobarn). I love the movie because it is about video games and how they compete to win the game! Thanks, scott.

the shizzle! the most awesome movie from 1989!!!!!! fred savage is the best actor you will ever see. did you see him on boy meets world as a guest apperance? yeah i stay up till 2am everynight to see his brother ben savage on boy meets world cuz thats the best show ever made! grandma's boy rules!

The kid actors do a great job, and it's a little corny, but all ages can appreciate something about it. Even if you're not into video games.

Only drawback is, of course, the glamorization of the video game "hereos", which we find a little silly.

The movie arrived in excellent shape and promptly. It was like a little piece of my childhood watching it again.

I bought this movie as a gift for my future son-in-law. He had mentioned to my daughter that this used to be his favorite movie when he was younger and he wished he could find it. As soon as I heard that I went straight away to e-bay! Needless to say it made his day when the movie arrived at his house! He says it was just as he remembered it, "wonderful".
