The Witches of Eastwick (DVD, 1997)

Spooky witches and warlock film, star studded, with lots of special effects makes this a great film. Star-studded with actesses Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon playing the part of witches and the ever sinister Jack Nicholson as the conjurred-up warlock. If you are a fan of these great talents you will enjoy this twist of a film, with plenty of intrigue and mystic, and lots of non-stop action.

This film is very fun and enjoyable, Jack nicolson is the perfect person to play the devil - I love his rant about how women were a cruel joke from God sent to make all men miserable!!!! Cher, Susan sarandon and Micheal Phifer round out this perfect cast and make up one of the greatest films of the 80's -- This is a must for any comedy fan - hell it's a must for any movie fan

I didn't give this a five star rating although I find the movie to be quite entertaining and fun. Is it horrible? No. Not fantastic either.

What it is - in my opinion, A fun movie to watch. A very wicked twist on the battle of the sexes. Great all star cast. Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon & Michelle Pfeiffer.

3 women ( Cher, Susan Sarandon & Michelle Pfeiffer) living in a small town faced with boredom, divorce, widowed etc. decide to conjure the 'perfect man' What they get instead is the devil himself played by Nicholson. He brings sex, magic and indulgence to an extreme into the womens lives. That, 'careful what you wish for... saying comes to mind when watching this movie.

The movie is cleaver but, a bit over the top at times. It's fun to watch if you
don't mind campy over the top style humor. It's an entertaining spin on the battle of the sexes with lots of light and darker magic thrown in. It's not the best movie any of these actors have done in my opinion. The acting is fine, the story line is so so. I think I expected it to be better then it was because of the cast.

Despite the cons, it's a movie that I would recommend for campy over the top humor movie night.

This is a good movie. i watch it all the time. back when all these ladies were young. a good nicholson movie too. not campy. i liked it. buy one. its cheap on ebay

Since i watched The Witches of Eastwick several 'years' ago and just recently got into the tv series "Eastwick"... it really bugged me that i couldn't remember details about the original movie... so i bought it to watch it again. I did remember a few of the scenes but had forgotten most... and i enjoyed it even more the second time. If you decide to buy it... you won't be disappointed with the movie or its star-studded cast... Jack Nicholson and all three girls are stupendous and at their best... the movie is simply magical!

This movie cracked me up. Cher and Jack Nicholson were really funny together. The special effects are not over the top and the scene where the ladies cast their spells on Nicholson is to die for funny. If you haven't seen it, don't miss it.

I bought the movie on ebay because the instructions for playing the movie are included with the movie--It was as a music sound trac option on the dvd where the music played but not the voices of the players in the movie---We did not know the option was even available so the instructions from the ebay supplier were priceless and made it possible to view the movie--The ebay option is the only way people really are able to resolve issues with purchases--The frist 3 times I tried to purchase from AMZON.COM AND NO INSTRUCTIONS WERE INCLUDED---this is priceless and no value could ever be placed on info that this ebayer included on and with this DVD buy--The requirement for 5000 word review is without merit and I would like to say this by ending this review.......?

I bought the DVD because I liked this movie when it first came out and it have an all star cast and entertaining and funny. I buy DVD that I have enjoyed in the past.

I loved it because it was very creative and i love every more susan sarandon is in. As a child i hadnt really grasped the concept if the movie but was always in love with it so i decided to buy it and watch it 4ever.

Any movie with Cher in it is #1 with me..this one is a blend of humour, drama and at times a sappy love story..after all who doesn't want to be in love?? Jack Nicholson is not one of my favs neither is Michelle Pfeiffer, I do love Susan Sarandon..of course Cher is a given! I could have done without the Cherry bit..glad we ate an hour before watching this or I would tossed my cookies..definitely glad we found this one a true treat for any movie buff or Cher fan or both!!

This was a fun Movie to watch again. It's Pure entertainment as you watch three females get even with a scoundrel of a man (an Evil Man). The Actors really compliment each other and it's Full of Humor.

In my opinion, the ONLY reason to watch this movie is Veronica Cartwright's unbelievable performance. Disagree like crazy, I'm sure most will, but Ms. Cartwright, with much-less screen time, steals the movie completely away from the other "stars." She sparks life into this rather humdrum flick. This is Veronica's Show!!
