truly experiencing the way apache interact with places.
this book is a wonderful easy to read narrative of how the author collects the true names of the places surrounding the Navajo reservation. With it he lerans about the stories that are attached to each location and the life lessons that are intent in correcting the behavior of the people that live near them. This book show the intimate bond that apaches have to the land they live in, the stories that are very specific to them and to their own cultures that is intertwined with these locations and stories. this open a window into a world that speaks in legends and places that are sacred and continue to teach the navajo nation of their own culture.
