Album Notes
A Skylit Drive: Brian White (vocals, bass guitar); Cory La Quay (vocals, drums); Michael Jagmin (vocals); Nick Miller, Joey Wilson (guitar); Kyle Simmons (keyboards).
Post-hardcore outfit A Skylit Drive followed up their debut EP with the full-length WIRES & THE CONCEPT OF BREATHING in 2008. A Skylit Drive mix emo, screamo, and punk/metal sonics for a concoction that is half melodic, half noise assault. Singer Michael Jagmin switches between growls, screams, and clean singing, while the rest of the band creates a thunderous backing full of chugging riffs and battering-ram rhythms. WIRES doesn't quite rewrite the post-hardcore rulebook, but it is a solid effort from a band that should appeal to fans of Chiodos and Taking Back Sunday
